Changing Cast and Crew

I’ve uploaded my 1980 DVD if Shogun - the 2024 version is garbage. I am able to alter the images to those for the 1980 version, but the Cast & Crew data is still that for the new version. I’d like to reset it to that for the 1980 series.

When I uploaded my Cosmos DVDs, I changed the Originally Available date in the General tab, and it updated everything to the old version. I did the same for Shogun, but it maintains the new version data.

How can I get Plex to use the 1980 data for Shogun, not the 2024 data?

Name the series like this and it will be matched correctly to the 1980 series:

test_tv    <--- This is where the library should point; the name of this folder is not important
└── Shogun (1980)
    └── Season 01
        └── Shogun (1980) - S01E01 - Part 1.mkv

Note the inclusion of the series release year in parentheses. This helps to disambiguate items of the same name.

After making this change, Plex Dance (click the orange link for instructions) the entire series.
