Yes, The PlexMediaServer group had permissions on the folder and subfolders of the content. I uploaded a screenshot of the permissions last week. The group has read and write permissions.
That’s not a one-time warning. Everyday when I use the .synology.me address I got this message. I reclaim it again. I hope it won’t be necessary tomorrow. Then it wouldn’t be right.
Should I disable QuickConnect to solve / test the problem?
I would keep it if you want Synology Desktop access.
To keep access to PMS, the recommended way
Enable Remote Access (Settings - Server - Remote Access)
Make certain it stays green
Now, in any browser, open `https://app.plex.tv`` and go to your PMS that way.
The connection goes direct to PMS → Your server. It doesn’t get routed through a third party (Synology)
Point a browser at https://192.168.1.248:32400/identity. You should see a line of XML. The line should contain claimed="0" or claimed="1". Which appears?
Look at the list of Authorized Devices for your account and sort for servers. If any old, duplicate, etc. servers are listed, then delete them. Do not delete your current server. Doing so would unclaim it.
I see some devices from 3 years ago. They have the same name. That could be right because about 3 years ago I reinstalled my iMac. I deleted the old devices.
This is just to minimize the number of variables while troubleshooting.
DNS Settings
There are some “host is unreachable” errors when Plex is trying to reach a plex.direct address.
Do you have a Pihole or similar ad blocker running? Are you running your own DNS server?
How is DNS configured on the Synology? If possible, please set it to use a public DNS server such as 1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare); 8.8.8.8 (Google), or 9.9.9.9 (Quad9).
Certificate Refresh
There are multiple 403 errors in the log files when Plex is syncing view state.
Please try the following:
In Account Settings, disable Sync My Watch State and Ratings (for troubleshooting purposes).
Then perform the certificate refresh procedure @ChuckPa outlined earlier:
Stop Plex Media Server
With File Station, navigate to PlexMediaServer/AppData/Plex Media Server/Cache
Delete: cert-v2.p12
Start PMS
Wait an extra 30 seconds for Plex to start and obtain the new certificate
Now let Plex Media Server run for awhile. See if you still have trouble accessing it.
Yes I am using pi-hole. My Synology Router is given the IP Address of pi-hole to the clients as DNS server. I don’t see anything from Plex blocking it. For test purposes I will use 8.8.8.8.
The option “Sync My Watch State and Ratings” was disabled.
I refreshed the certificate. Let’s see what the result is
It didn’t help. The content was no longer visible. I used 8.8.8.8 as DNS server. The problem is not caused by pi-hole The content was not visible on https://192.168.1.248:32400/web and https://app.plex.tv/desktop. I refreshed the certificate.
Just want to point out that I wouldn’t be surprised if naming is part of your problem

Is this Power Rangers or Power Rangers Dino Thunder ?
Plex uses episode ordering from either TMDB (aired) or TVDB (aired/dvd/absolute/alternates). To choose the desired episode order, edit the show (pencil icon) → Advanced → Episode ordering.
Could it be because I also use Plex Media Server on my iMac. The reason I installed Plex Media Server on my iMac is to stream videos from YouTube to my Apple TV using the Plex App.
