The transcoder crashes when subtitles are enabled. Disabling subtitles fixes the issue. On a Roku player, so I wouldn’t be surprised if this was related to the recent app upgrade. Playing the same file with subtitles worked until recently.
I posted another comment, but I edited it too many times and it’s now stuck in the spam filter. Same issue on my end.
I think I may have found a potential solution - I was previously using the “plexpass” tag for the docker image, after switching to latest, the issue has gone away BUT I’m now running version 1.42, so it’s kind of a bandaid to rollback. If I feel ambitious later, I may see about upgrading plex within the container - the plexpass tag image has not seen an update in 4 years, so I’m wondering if maybe it needs some TLC?
Kept digging - assuming this is the same issue, it looks like it’s resolved in some newer builds yet to be pushed out (at least the issue I’ve encountered.)
Any progress on a fix. Recently updated to the same release and now I have the same issue. Going to rollback for the time being I guess.
