HI All I am new here
I set everything up a couple weeks and it worked great, now I’m trying
to add folders in my music video library and it does ot see them and I did
use scan library files
My music has folders and is fine Music/ Band/Albums/songs
I really dont understand how my music library can have a 3 level
folder structure and my music Videos cannot have any folders
I am new here and hopefully posted in the correct spot
I am using a Synology 2-Bay NAS DS223 and a Mac Studio
When you originally setup the Music shared folder,
did you grant permission for PlexMediaServer to read the shared folder AND all sub-folders and files? (the checkbox when granting permission)
(I presume you did because you do have some content)
Now that you’ve added more, did you go back into and re-apply permission to them too?
(SMB or upload doesn’t always add those permissions automatically. Plex can’t see the files because it is non-privileged / can only see what you expressly give it permission to see)
