Watching liveTV (from a VBOX) only allows about 5 mins viewing before I get “Playback error: Recording failed. Please check your tuner or antenna”. This issue only started after upgrading to this version.
The console shows: Denying access to direct play of part 11537 due to terminated session

Finally got a “reason” out of "Plex Media Server.log

I’ll tar and zip up all logs under /volume1/PlexMediaServer/AppData/Plex Media Server/Logs
That’s not the reason. Engineering has already identified that that is and fixing it in the next release.
Seeing your DEBUG logs which captures the failure IS what we need to see.

A quick non-relevant question - Plex Tuner Service.log is complaining about my old, deleted and no-longer supported-in-DSM7 tvbutler USB tuner. Should I care about this? Is there a way to clean up this?
You can delete it from the Plex config.
Yes, I know deleting a tuner might make you setup DVR again.
I wish I had some insight there but haven’t had DVR capability here for several years now (too far from OTA television)
Would you mind turning DEBUG logging back ON please ?
It’s on by default. No space is wasted because it’s on. Logs are a fixed size whether on or off. What happens with DEBUG off – we can’t see what’s happening
You will need to regenerate the error so the logging level DEBUG outputs more for us to see.
This is happening to me even more frequently than normal right now. Running plex server on my computer, and using the web interface on same computer to try to watch live tv. Using my HDHomeRun Extend directly works fine.plexlogs.zip (708.4 KB)
Attached logs from when I had 2 failures. Failures should be around 20 seconds or less from the end of the logs.

I saw the transcoder issues too - I thought that perhaps it is less tolerant than before because the previous release worked fine. There has been no change to the VBOX Freesat box.
Your logs came through with the Chinese character set.
Would you mind restarting PMS , wait 60 seconds, then download the logs again?
