would you mind grabbing new logs after attempt above.
Here you go. I also wanted to grab this so you can see it in the device manager
Plex Media Server Logs_2021-05-11_14-37-53.zip (5.7 MB)
Thanks so much for helping. If there is anything else you can think of please let me know.
I wanted to check in and see if the new logs created any traction or if we wanted to try another route.
Thanks
hey your logs look normal so we are confused about what is going on. I did mean to also ask if you have tried different browsers or the stand alone desktop app.
can you go to this url and tell us the output.
https://<LocalIPofSerfver>:32400/media/grabbers/devices?X-Plex-Token=<YOURTOKENVALUEHERE>
replacing <LocalIPofServer>
and <YOURTOKENVALUEHERE>
with the appropriate values
info on how to find your token below (do not ever share your token publicly)
also the results will look something like this please xxxx out the value of deviceAuth
<MediaContainer size="1">
<Device key="1" uuid="device://tv.plex.grabbers.hdhomerun/10494CEE" uri="http://192.168.2.41:80" protocol="livetv" status="dead" state="enabled" lastSeenAt="1609568600" canTranscode="0" deviceAuth="xxxxxxxxxxxx" deviceId="10494CEE" make="Silicondust" model="HDHomeRun CONNECT" modelNumber="HDHR4-2US" source="0" sources="0,1" thumb="/:/resources/dvr/device-hdhomerun-connect-560.png" tuners="2"> </Device>
</MediaContainer>
if possible to get copy of database as well so we can see if it is being shown there. which you can get from troubleshooting section of server. You can message me that by clicking on my username/avatar
I tried the desktop app with no results.
Here are the results from the url. I will send you the database
<MediaContainer size="1">
<Device parentID="11" key="1" uuid="device://tv.plex.grabbers.tunerservice/dvb%23bda%23usb%23vid_07ca%26pid_0837%26mi_01%236%2634910875%260%260001%23" uri="" protocol="livetv" status="alive" state="enabled" lastSeenAt="1621130860" make="AVerMedia" model="AVerTV Volar Hybrid Q" modelNumber="H837" source="0" sources="0,1" thumb="/:/resources/dvr/device-usb-560.png" tuners="1">

</Device>

sorry taking long to get back to you each time. can you also try
https://<LocalIPofSerfver>:32400/livetv/dvrs?X-Plex-Token=<YOURTOKENVALUEHERE>
your logs and database show the DVR is already there so it seems like the web app is just not showing it for some reason which is really weird
Really weird issues like this seem to be something I’m good at. No matter what system its in.
Here’s what I got for that page.
This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

Wanted to check in any luck?
Sorry still looking into it. trying to figure out if a server, or web app issue.
Thank you for all the work you are putting in
Ran into this issue many many times. To fix, stop all plex services and go to \appdata\local\Plex Media Server\Plug-in Support\Databases and then delete tv.plex*.*
Then reboot. The DVR will be back but you’ll have to refresh the guide.
Hope this helps!
Update - After running into this issue yet again… This time I had to delete the DVR and re-add after deleting the files. Deleting the files brings back the DVR so you can at least see it to delete and re-add.
Awesome I will try it. With the new change how did you delete the dvr?
Once you delete the files and reboot the DVR will re-appear. Then you can delete it. BTW all your scheduled recordings will stay intact! (After you re-add the DVR, of course.)
I too lost my DVR and was unable to see or add my Prime or Duo. This fixed my Problem, Thanks!
OMG I could kiss you on the mouth LOL. I have been fighting this for almost two months. Thank you! How often do you have this issue?
DUDE! YES! I’ve been scouring the web for a fix for this!
How is it some rando named pbartkus can fix our issue but Official Plex Employee with logs and resources hasn’t been able to point us in the right direction?
LOL Because the rando had the problem and tech support gets paid to respond to questions – even if the responses don’t solve the problem. It’s called motivation.
This issue has cropped up again for me. I can repeat the above steps and fix it. However, a few days later it happens again and the DVR just stops. Has anyone else seen this as reoccurring?
Same thing here, every few days
is it possible to get a fresh set of logs from someone server. after opening the DVR page. you can message them to me by clicking on my username/avatar
