Server Version#:1.16
Player Version#: N/A
I am running Plex Server on an Intel Nuc, (quad core i5 with 16 gig RAM) under Windows 10 Pro. Everything is updated. I have been using in with a HDHomerun HDHR4-DT tuner ever since it has been possible to record & watch TV under Plex. For some reason, Plex Server no longer “sees” the tuner. Using the HDHomerun software on the same PC, I can successfully watch live TV.
If I go into Settings/Live TV & DVR, it says it is “Unable to Load DVRs” & then wants to setup a new DVR. If I attempt to do that it can not detect my tuner, even if I manually enter the tuners IP address. If attempt to watch live TV, it says it can’t tune the channel.
I’m running the most recent version of Plex server & Windows is up to date & from my testing it appears that the tuner is OK & that the issue is with Plex server.
Interestingly, all the recordings I’d setup prior to this issue occurring are still working
.
It does appear that this issue has only occurred since the last server update. Hopefully Plex issue a fix shortly.
Same issue here, after updating to Plex Server version 1.16.1.1246 (Running the Docker image) LiveTV/DVR Device cannot be found. Before the update all was working fine.
If I try to watch TV I get the error “Could not tune channel”.

Edit 2:
Downgraded to version 1.16.0.1226-7eb2c8f6f and all is working again. So please fix the newest version.
Updated to 1.16.1.1273 - Still having the same issue; When using the GUI to find the tuner *(as its now suddenly no longer showing up) It seems to time out in the search. Also now seems to completely removed the “add a tuner” section if I switch pages
Uploaded the log based off this Tuner is AVerTV Volar AUS version as I’m located downunder
regarding the removal of Australian EPG support, and migrating old/new EPG settings,
you can’t setup a DVR like the HD Homerun using the standard “add” wizard. The UI is broken, and leaves you with a language selection dropdown instead of an EPG selection, the continue button is also missing…
You can only continue if you select the XMLTV option, which is not clearly defined, or pre-selected, there is no continue button to click, just the language selection.
I installed a HDHomerun Quatro yesterday, and had to look for an XMLTV provider, as I assumed that Plex Pass Premium had an EPG provider, and did not need one for Australia.
I’ve known about IceTV for over a decade, but I had believed that Plex had access to a different EPG provider, so an IceTV sub wasn’t needed.
Whatever Plex has lost/done in 1.16.1, presumably hasn’t been tested or fixed yet. I assume the setup UI script will be corrected in the next patch, but it is an additional glitch in the DVR setup due to whatever changes were made and not tested.
Were you not able to continue if you added an XMLTV guide? I setup a DVR yesterday (I’m also from Australia! ), and was able to go through as normal once I’d added the XMLTV guide
And if by some miracle I get to the setup page, it doesn’t automatically detect my HDHomerun, so I enter the IP. Then I can link to an XML file, but once I add listings to channels it just sits at this page. https://imgur.com/85JPiqi
The whole experience is completely broken (as is this forum apparently, since I uploading images breaks).
Hmm, have you got any logs that cover you doing this? Can you also let me know the server version and platform, and the version of the web app you’re using?
