Confirmed! Deleting the DVR on startup and then re-adding it actually worked.

Thanks for the solution to this mess so I could get my DVR and Live TV working in time for Football.

OK, thanks for your help. I thought that DVB EPG (like normal TV, or DVR apps) is supported and that not being in Plex EPG supported countires breaks the TV setup completely. So if TV in my coutry is not supported, I’ll quit Plex Pass after trial period. Sad, it looked promising.

Thanks for the info, I’ve checked this page before, but it my country isn’t listed. And it’s paid service anyway, I don’t see a reason why to pay twice for one service.

Is your country showing as supported for the EPG?

If it is supported could you provide server logs with debug logging enabled covering time when DVR setup hangs

I only recently switched from MythTV to using DVR/LiveTV (although plex-pass subscriber for some time.)
Can I force to use my paid schedules direct, instead of the native plex one (Based in west coast zipcode 94505).
I have multiple PMS instances and would like to compare the EPG metadata and then decide.

For the EPG, you have the option to use xmltv file - see https://support.plex.tv/articles/using-an-xmltv-guide/

The interface allows you to enter the path to your xmltv file. So yes.

How frequent does plex look at the xmltv file for any changes? or does it look for when when its been ONOTFYied?

I believe it is the same periodic incremental refresh which is run 4 hours after the last one. Incremental refresh looks for changes in following 24-48 period at the end of the 13-14 day period incrementing the guide data held by a day.

if you go to http://freepg.tv/ sign up for EPG in your area then choose have an XMLTTV then paste the link they sent you it will work…im in Australia as well.
