I go to set up DVR, it finds the Tuner, scans the channels, then on the next screen it asks to select language, with a message at the top saying “To Download an electronic program guide we need to know your location”, English is selected, but the Continue button is disabled, and I cannot continue with the installation beyond this point. What can I do to get it to progress???
Okay… so somehow deleting all the logs and restarting the server allowed me to progress. I also had verbose logging selected for some reason (I don’t remember turning that on). But now I got the screen up and working! Glad I didn’t have to delete and recreate the whole database again, as I have over 10,000 files (movies/TV/music)
Just noticed today that i’m having the exact same issue as above, everything up to date, but unable to select “Region”, and unable to “Continue”.
My Config is:
Windows 10
HDHomeRun (latest f/w)
Both are on the same network.
I have exactly the same problem. Cannot reconnect to HDHomeRun here in Australia… If this is a permanent situation I want my money back for my HDHomeRun and the Plex Pass as that was the only reason I have got them… this is very, very disappointing … Is there going to be a fix?
Ok, I found a couple of things out today and eventually got it working…
Stop/quit Plex server, delete the logs (appdata\local\plex media server\logs)
launch Plex Server, open Plex and go to settings dvr, I found that my HDHomeRun was back, then I delete it.(it’s only available for a min or so, then it disappears again, if that happens you gotta delete the logs and repeat)
Scan for and re-add the HDHomeRun
It’s back, one down.
Plex no longer provide guide data for Australia. Thanks Plex…awesome. So I ended up taking up the IceTV, free for three months offer. Then it’s $2.99 a month thereafter(still undecided about paying for a guide…but we’ll see)
It has you register and it provides you with a link to paste into the XML section above.
Needless to say, the whole thing is back up and running, albeit now having to pay for the guide in the near future…shambles.
fucckkk so im effectivly cut off, they did a half decent job with my funny broadcast area but seriously its not that hard,to be cut off completly thats just dog, im trying to pull together xml data from my epg broadcast but im really raging about this
Are you kidding me?!?!?
that’s why I couldn’t update my guide data in Australia?
Live TV/DVR is one of the main reasons I bought a lifetime plex pass.
They have got to be kidding themselves if they think people are gonna keep using plex if they pull crap like this…that’s just not good enough…looks like time to try and get refund on my plex pass and go back to Kodi and pay for an EPG subscription or something…
Also…why the hell can’t the just pull the guide data from the FREE over the air broadcast…at least then I can watch SOMETHING…bastards
Once I installed PMS 1.16.1 it no longer recognized that I had a DVR configured (HDHomeRun).
Equally, it wouldn’t let me add (or re-add) it. I’d get to the screen after validating the channel mappings and then it would just hourglass indefinitely.
Glad I found this thread. I’ll be giving it a try when I have a moment.
Glad my 3 month trial of IceTV is wasting away while I sort out this issue!!
Now that Kodi is working fine on Xbox One I’m sorely tempted to go back to it!
Just adding my voice to the chorus. HD HomeRun DVR unrecognised as of a week ago and cannot create a new one. Can’t get beyond the entry of the ICE TV URL. Australian Synology NAS user, just updated to 1.16.2.1297-4b7ace214 and have begrudgingly purchased an ICE TV XMLTV subscription ($2.99/m) - trial period expired as I am an existing user. C’mon Plex - I love your product but this is crap. Get this sorted out.
I also have this issue after updating Plex.
One would thing that as a Plex-Pass enabled user and paying money for something we would get our problems esculated.
C’mon fellow Australian users let our voices be heard! This is disheartning for a product that i thourghly love true-n-true.
