EPG Data missing with "to be annouced"

Server Version#: 1.41.3.9314
Player Version#: 4.141.0
Tuner Make/Model: HD HomeRun Extend
Guide/Lineup name: Local Broadcast
Using XMLTV?: NO
Channel number/Name: 12.1 KPNX-HD (NBC)

Missing guide data. Keeps saying “To Be Announced”. For today - Next day and so forth. This is not a problem with source guide, as I can go to other sources, for example ontvtonight.com and the data appears there perfectly. See all screenshots.

NOTES: Yes (1) I have deleted and redone the EPG, Tuner, Completely reinstalled PMS (2) Yes I have done manual EPG refreshes. (3) My assumption is that PMS is getting from zap2it or same source as zap2it, as that source is missing this data. (4) OH and yes I’ve tried alternate sources too.

Request: Please fix and address and go directly to the real source. See fourth screenshot for example. I need to be able to watch and record SNL, which comes on 12.1 - NBC.

Keeps saying “to be announced”

Even for other days

Source is OTA for 85258

Example you can see, EPG data is available:

Thank you

Same here. Many entries are showing to be announced and not being recorded. Stephen Colbert, as an example, 2.1 CBS OTA Chicago

For me, most of the To Be Announced entries are talk shows/“live” shows (Kimmel, Colbert, Fallon). I have refreshed the guide with no help. I have 79+ entries with TBA.

And since the name is different, those times do not record anymore…

Same problem for me, same symptoms. Especially for the late night comedies. Colbert, Kimmel, Fallon & Meyers. The EPG seems to have gone stupid.

Can you please get your server logs after EPG refresh finishes.

I need postal code to manually check EPG

Same issue here for CBS and NBC in Chicago. Late shows are not loading guide data.

Same here in 14217.

Is there any process to fix these issues… either at the source, or locally?

(new Live TV user here and this is pretty disappointing… a DVR is only as reliable as its guide data)

hi @BigWheel , zip code for my original complaint is 85258. See screenshot comparison where TV Guide shows those programs.

Attached is the server log. Just did the refresh.

@BigWheel Can you help me too?

I’m seeing the same in 27703. I mostly record The Late Show and Late Nite and both are showing “To be announced” in the guide. Otherwise, the guide looks pretty good.

The logs I attached are from right after updating guide data, but still seeing the issue persist.

Also an issue in 43026. I can’t even program to record the “To Be Announced” entries, Plex just throws “There was an unexpected error” when I try. In the mean time, is there anyway to setup a manual recording (ie record channel x from time y to z)? PLEASE FIX ASAP.

I checked Gracenote’s site (my understanding is that Gracenote is Plex’s EPG provider) and it is correct on their guide for my zip code so the issue is apparently on Plex’s end.

OK thank you all. I think I have enough info to help devs figure things out.

Same for me over here in the UK.

Just to add data, at least in my zip (14217), it’s not limited to late night talk shows. Actually, NEXT WEEK, late night talk shows are fully populated for me M-F on all 3 networks.

However, I have other issues. Looking Sat 1/11 - Fri 1/17 Prime Time on the big 4 networks, I have these instances of “To be announced”:

Tues Fox 8-9pm
Wed Fox 8-10pm
Wed CBS 9-10pm
Thurs CBS 8-9pm
Thurs Fox 8-10pm

I’m sure I’d find more if I expanded channels and times.

Hi BigWheel, TV guide data for channels in Melbourne Australia are also playing up again with “To be announced” in the guides. Only seems to be for new programs, as opposed to those that were already running pre-Xmas and may have been pre loaded into the guides. Channels I have noticed as being affected are 020, 030, 031, 032, and 034. Could also be affecting commercial channels eg 010, 015, 070, 095, etc. Harder to tell with them as they often have late updates to guides.
Cheers.

Same for me in 30188 zip.

Same here

For the prime time listings I mentioned above this week, the FOX “TBA” are now showing with proper data. CBS is still not.

My late night talk shows now seem populated correctly.
