I am wordering why I get ramdom “Unknown Airing”
Well, it appears that it is not a configuration on your machine because I am have the same problems on the same channels – at the same times.
This would seem to point to the EPG provider which is used by Plex. I have recently switched to plex from MythTV where I had a subscription to Schedules Direct and have never had an issue with the guide.
Having the same problem as you I have read that Plex can consume the EPG from different sources however this doesn’t seem to be an automated process.
Given that these are french language channels maybe there is content in the program description, like accented characters, which is causing an error in parsing.
I’ve enabled verbose logging on the server and I do not see any ERROR or WARN tagged messages.

I have the same problem since couple of days. Is very anoying cause you can’t program those time.
I patch the problem with starting a record with the program before and add minutes after this record to be able to record program I need.
I have read that Plex use Gracenote to take care of the guide. I also fill a formulaire here to send it out.

Thank you for the hint! But it’s a little bit tricky for me, the known episode before the show I want is 1 hour long and the Unknown Airing last 2 hours (which is two 1 hour different episode) and wish to record only the last hour, so a 3 hours recording in total. I will wait for Plex/Gracenote to solve the problem. It’s only since Christmas that I see multiple Unkhown Airing, maybe holiday issues…

I also have the same problem with the same channels. I have submitted the “Plex EPG Inaccuracies” form several times during the last few weeks. Maybe because I am looking at it more but it seems to be getting worse.
I would like that Plex give the option to record a certain date and time ie: monday 19:00 to 20:00 on ch 2.1. That would give the option to record
Same problem here. Report it 2 times already. Always affect CBFTDT 2.1, other french channels are fine. Don’t think it’s a parsing issue as other channel show accentuated characters.

I got the issue very often with 2.1 CBFTDT and occasionally with 10.1 CFTMDT
