Erase my Authorized Devices

Hi

I have synology

I erase my Authorized Devices, is it back my Authorized Devices?

What is do?

Thank you

I’m not 100% if I understand what you’re asking for.
By removing your server from the list of authorized devices, it’ll be signed out and is no longer linked to your account (no longer “claimed”). To be able to access it from your devices, you’ll need to re-claim the server.

There’s different options to do that.
The most straightforward should be:

  1. open the bundled version of Plex Web on your server from within the same network – e.g. http://[local IP of the Syno]:32400/web
  2. go to Settings > [Server Name] > General (not Settings > Plex Web > General!!)
  3. click on the Sign In button at the center of this settings page

How do I look at my Authorized devices? I have not changed nor erased anything. It just locked me out for no reason, as far as I can see.

@CinemaJunky

Plex/web

Settings - (upper left corner) - Authorized Devices.

There is a dropdown. (default is ALL)

Change to whichever you want to filter to

If you have removed your synology from your account, there is an easy way to add it back

Thank you, ChuckPa!. When I clicked the dropdown and chose Server, my Mac Mini was automatically authorized. I switched back to All, and my Mac Mini server was listed there. I still don’t know how it got “unauthorized”, but at least I know what to do if it happens again.

Thanks again. That was a big help since I was so frustrated! :grimacing:
