Error 337 LG Tv WebOs, Plex 2.2.0 17/03/2020 Not working

Server Version#: 1.19.4.2935
Player Version#: 2.2.0
WebOs Version#: 04.80.03

Hi,

I have been recently facing an issue with my plex player on my LG tv WebOs.

The issue started 2 days ago, I assume after the recent update of the TV.

When starting Plex, it stays on the loading screen for a long time, then shows 337 error.

TV and Server are in the same room. Tv is wireless connected, server by cable.

Funny, when I open media browser on the TV, I can easily navigate the server without any lag or issues, but as you know, I can’t have the Plex player features.

Note: I have formatted the TV to initial settings but the problem stands still.

Please help, this is very frustrating!

I’m having the same issue on WebOS. Both official Plex app and Xplay app stopped working, sayning they can’t connect to server.

On the other hand, the Plex app on my Shield Pro works normally.

Xplay works well for me.

No issues on my tablets or phones, all ok.

Only on the LG tv Plex app

Make sure your TV network setting has IPv6 disabled.

Just to add my two penneth. I’ve had exactly the same problem on my 2019 C9. Lots of helpful suggestions from other users/threads but nothing worked and zero input from Plex. I gave up in the end and bought an Shield TV (tube) and everything is ticketyboo.
I honestly don’t think Plex are going to sort this one out so you may want to go down the Shield or Fire Stick route.
Good luck!!

Your issue is the experience for a lot of LG TV users…Plex has done nothing about it for a very extended time…just FYI…it’s not new.

Just stated having the issue on my new LG TV. Open Plex it starts to load and then the screen flashes a few times and then I get Check Network Connection Error Code -337

This may be temporary blah blah blah

Everything else works. Sounding like if I want to use Plex on this POS TV I’ll have to buy a Roku

Same issue my new LG TV OLED55B9.
When i open Plex App i have this error:
Check Network Connection Error Code -337
On my 2 Samsung smart TVs all works well.
Please help

The same here, on my LG WebOS. Sometimes (but really sometimes) restart app on TV helps…

Today is the second day of Plex not working at all on my LGTV. Nothing I can do will get the app to work.

I have adjusted ALL suggested settings and nothing changes. At this point I’m just writing the LGTV app off as broken and will be using Plex on my XBOX until such a time I’m will to give the LG APP another shot.

Very disappointing start with my brand new tv

Having the same issue, PLEX on WebOS stop working…

Having the same issues please have Plex. I have two LG TVs and both are having the same error 337. How can I fix it?

Just discovered that if I start my vpn on my router plex works fine! Without the vpn I get error 337 each time.

Interesting. I’m not currently running a VPN. Just find it strange that the app works everywhere but on my LG TV

gentlemen, error 337 is a problem of several months on LG TV! Plex doesn’t solve the problem and users get frustrated! The XPlay application works with the Plex server without any problems and without any changes to the settings, so this is clearly a problem with the Plex application on webOS.

mine has now worked without issue for the last 2 nights.

I won’t use XPlay because it’s a fee based app. I’m a Plex Pass lifetime member I should’ve have to pay for a separate app to use the service.

Luckily I have an XBOX connected to the TV so when the native WebOS app doesn’t work I just switch to it.

But yes I agree there’s a serious bug with the WebOS version of Plex that has been ignored for far too long. It will make me rethink future purchases.

Hey. I had the same error and ipv6 didn’t fix me problem, or even trying a different router.
I found this and it worked:

I have to face this issue for more than 50 days!!
