Everything works, except video playback

Everyone here seems to be having the same issues but no one is giving a solution to the problem. It also seems that the people that are having issues are the ones with windows computers. If it doesn't work yet for windows computer than that info should be provided unless someone in this forum got it working on a windows 7/8 "ATV3" and can provide the steps to get it working. Thanks

One of the developers is using windows as his machine so it does work on windows.

Also you have not provided the info requested to help troubleshoot (i removed your previous post because it was clogging up the forum when you should have used pastebin as requested) so please do not whine.

Is not whining and my comment is not for you removing the post. Is that I don't see no one giving any solutions on how to fix the problem. Even those people that gave the info you looking for still no solution.

Patience, we will get to the bottom of it.

My point is that you are asking me to help you fix your problem, which may or may not have the same root issue as the others in this thread but you have not provided any information to determine that or help us get to the bottom of it (we have already seen one user realise that it was a SMB issue for him and not a common cause).

ranran you are running 2 different operating systems, are you using VMWare or similar to run either of them?

Please post the settings.py of your iBaa branch.

Are you running windows firewall and have you tried disabling it?

Can you post a screenshot of the point where you are browsing your library and on the pre-play screen?

Puchdog, what happens if you hard code your PlexConnect IP in the settings.cfg file? (TBH i do not think it will make any difference but i want to rule it out).

The info you gave is really good though and i will discuss with Baa and Roidy as there is something weird going on there.

Could you take a screenshot of the section/pre-play screen, i am interested to see what it looks like with metadata but no pictures?

Oh and one more questions:

- how are you downloading the source code e.g. using github or by just downloading and extracting the zip?

I downloaded and extracted the file.

You don't have a TV show section?

You don't have a TV show section?

Is it because all I loaded to my pms is movies and music. No tv shows

You have the devs stumped on this at the moment.

Could you do two things:

1> Check what agent you have set to scrape for movies and then post a screen shot of the setup/ordering of them like:

2> Try adding in a TV show section with even just one media file (you can always rename a movie file to e.g. game of thrones s01e01)

The next thing I will do is the tv show

That's what mine is doing, but when I load the actual title it brings everything up except the picture then gives the loading error when you try to play the media

iv been going through the cmd commands and I cant see anything funky going on and I have the tv section.

here is what I have ruled out so far;

various different meta setups

uninstalled and reinstalled

uninstalled and re-installed with connect in root plex directory

deleting the library and re searching

running plex as full admin

releasing and renew IP's

reset of router

reset of DNS

full reboot of apple TV 3

changed transcode settings

changed streaming bit rate

Update of firmware to latest OS ( then all of the above again)

I have also monitored the router traffic while trying to load in conjunction with the terminal window, there is traffic there but it just doesn't seem to be fully loading

Hope this speeds things up

Pablo what section do you have (tv/home movies/movies)?
