Everything works, except video playback

I have setup TV and Movies, both load server end fine with all meta data but ATV end displays nothing, I haven't coded for a few years but going for a baptism by fire at the moment lol

Tv shows added

What version of PMS are you guys using?

cmd/terminal for tv show http://pastebin.com/TeMmVAKW

fresh download off everything mate, I made sure off it when I did the re-installations, the only thing I have tried is by running PMS and the media from an internal drive not a external

Plex Media Server 0.9.7.22-4b5280f

Hmm i don't know what to say, think it is going to be a case of go away and scratch our heads (unfortunately the logging isn't really giving anything to go on).

The only things i can possibly think of at the moment is that you have something running on your windows installations causing the issue, the covers should be downloaded direct from the PMS (which is on the same machine a PlexConnect).

- What is the output of netstat (could you paste to pastebin)?

- Do you have any other open programs e.g. Skype?

- I don't suppose any of you have VMWare do you, that you could install a virgin copy of windows on and then test with?

il check the netstats for you, no Skype, and no VMware, il reconfigure my router in the morning and try booting it off my spare server as well as that's a clean boot of windows 7, il even try setting it up as a adhoc network if need be glad its not just me tho lol

Had another thought and quicker to test - can you create a cpl of new movies sections, in one of them put some movies in folders, in the other make sure the media files are all in the root. test to see if either of them work.

No I don't have VMWare

Hmm the only thing i can think of is the folder/no folders thing then.

i think i have but will need to check in the morning,

could it be the proxy shield ?

could it be the proxy shield ?

Maybe in your case, do you want to try disabling it?

Is anyone else with this issue using a proxy, maybe even for e.g. internet explorer?

I added another movie section with movies in the root forlder and sub folders. I'm still stuck in accessing trailers.

Sorry i meant two sections:

  • one with media files all in root
  • one with media files within folders

Movie section folder and a movie section root

Grrrrr, okay i am going to see if the guys can think of what else might be causing it.

If someone can try a new virgin vmware image that would be great.

It is getting late here in Europe so unfortunately i do not think you will get an answer tonight.

Do you have a link where I can download VMWare. I will try that next.
