hey is anyone still getting the same failed to download subs on some movies ??
hey dane is this issue still on going and being looked into and hopefully have fix soon ? appreciate any response, r.e
im sorry dane but what are you talking about mate ? i am refering to subtitles ?
yeah problems still there guys plex done nothing lol as usual
dane … read back i asked a question about this thead its not OT as you say
na dude you didnt download a thing … those are subs included with the movie
Sorry, but you are mistaken. The subtitles were grabbed from the “Search…” option as depicted in the screenshot. I took the screenshot after the successful download.
In fact, I tested again for another film tonight, search and downloading of subtitles is still working after the recent updates were pushed out.
Additionally, @rosse1402, consider utilizing the “Edit” button on your posts to avoid cluttering the forum with multiple entries. If a swift response is desired, Discord may be a more suitable platform for real-time discussions, as opposed to excessive cross-posting on the Plex forums. ![]()
Same thing here (Plex Server Version 1.32.7.7571.). It was a cool feature, pitty its not working anymore.
Edit: It may not be a Plex issue after all. I’m in Greece and OpenSubtitles dot org is banned so I guess Plex Server cannot reach to it. Strange thing is that OpenSubtitles dot com is accessible… ![]()
It’s not working for me and I see the following in the logs

Add my name to the list, also having the same problem. Not sure why Plex would delay the switch to the new Opensubtitles domain/server, even though .org may be still functioning to limited abilities, Opensubtitles is no longer supporting the .org domain.
Same issue here. Any ETA from Plex team to have this fixed ?
lol guys i just turn mine off now ■■■■ it, easier life ![]()
Huh, this is about on-demand download of subs
And for the rest of people in this thread, then yes, still a work in progress, but not forgotten!
Hi, any progress on this subject.?
Sadly nothing yet, but do know that our devs are on the task
Same problem here… ![]()
Any plans to support the new opensubtitles REST API? Looks like the current API is going away at the end of this year: OpenSubtitles.org API deprecation and end of life - OpenSubtitles forum
As said, it’s work in progress
