I’ve used Plex on Roku and WebOS and recently bought a Fire Stick 4K Max. I am confused about preview thumbnails when fast forwarding or rewinding on Fire TV.
They work sometimes. Sometimes I’ll fast forward and the thumbnails are there. Other times on the exact same media, the thumbnails are not there. The thumbnails always work in the web player, my Roku TVs, and my WebOS TV.
Does this behavior happen to anyone else? Is there any way I can find out why sometimes the thumbnails are there and other times not?
I am selecting the media progress bar when rewinding or fast forwarding and hitting the left or right part of the navigation circle (not just hitting the dedicated buttons on the remote for rewind/ff).
Not working on store version and still not fixed on latest beta builds. I force stopped and cleared cache too. It actually just worked for a minute on one show but then didn’t when I tried again. Movies work fine tho. Only TV show thumbnails are messed up for me.
Don’t know why more people aren’t complaining about this!?
I just noted the same thing on a brand new Fire TV Cube. From my testing, thumbnail previews show up if playing media directly from library but do not when playing back from a playlist
