Since a couple of days ago, every new movie I add doesn’t give me a match, and the ‘fix match’ button is gone, only ‘match’. I uploaded the movies like I always do, nothing changed in how I named them. It just won’t match the titles anymore. Even if I swap a movie I already had, when I refresh it doesn’t recognize it anymore. Version 1.43.3. This just started happening several days after installing the latest version. Started out of nowhere.
If it wasn’t matched then there is no existing match to fix, that is is why it is just a “Match” option. When you use the match option does it not let you select something?
I would guess that your server is having trouble communicating with plex.tv. Are you using your ISPs dns servers or one of the publicly available ones like Google or Cloudflare?
They are popular titles that should by all means match. The one I swapped was Mandalorian and Grogu. It was matched before, but when I reuploaded it, it didn’t recognize it anymore and gave only ‘match’.
I’m not sure, but I didn’t change anything. It literally was working one moment and then not.
when you click match what happens?
your ISP could have changed something
What could they have changed that would affect just this one thing? Everything else about plex and about other internet apps works fine.
Make sure PMS has debug level logging enabled only!
Then restart PMS
Do a Plex Dance on the media, and after that is done, upload server logs
I suggest you post your plex logs otherwise we’re just making wild guesses at what is happening.
they can change how their DNS works.
and how their internet security works
thats why @napolij suggested to try a different DNS. I’m not saying that is defintely the issue but it is worth trying Google DNS or Cloudflare Public DNS
I’ve downloaded the logs. Where/how do I post them?
You can upload them to this thread. Reply to your post and use the upload icon. It looks like an arrow pointing up. You get a prompt to select the file you want to upload
But they’re a whole bunch of files plus the pms folder. Do I upload them all?
Go back and read that article you posted a link to. Plex offers a way to download all the log files as a zip file. Upload that zip file
Plex Media Server Logs_2026-08-21_15-38-35.zip (4.6 MB)Here are the server logs.
I uploaded the logs, but now it seems it might be my server. Now it’s not allowing me upload files to it.
Your file upload. Here’s the first thing I’m seeing.

Definitely looks like a dns error.
You have either a DNS or a default router problem, and could be an ISP blocking!
From your log:
[HttpClient/HCl#7f2] HTTP error requesting GET https://servers.plex.tv/media/providers (6, Couldn't resolve host name) (Could not resolve host: servers.plex.tv)
Above means that PMS could not locate a resource on plex.tv
I suggest you for a start check that the default gateway on your Synlogy box is set to your router, and if so, switch the DNS settings on that to Google DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4)
Thank you for the advice. I’m not knowledgable on these things. If you could help through the steps to doing that I would appreciate it.
