Same here, Iā€™ve purchased and installed Hauppauge Win-TV Dual-HD (model 1590) in my Nvidia Shield 2017 and it does not find it!. According to specs its fully compatible and I can see it just fine in windows 10, but not on Nvidia Shield! I use the latest Plex app and Plex Server.
Any suggestions?

Iā€™m looking into this right now, but itā€™s functioning correctly here for me. Iā€™m testing with a 500GB SHIELD, upgraded to 7.2 just now, with a WinTV DualHD 1595. The 1595 is the US ATSC/QAM model, so itā€™s entirely possible that they broke the DVB-T model with the latest SHIELD update.

That said, it definitely should be working. Can you give me a full set of the PMS/PTS logs? I see that same libusb error in my log, so the fact that itā€™s displaying for you is probably a red herring. Usually that error message indicates some sort of permissions error on a USB device, but with it working correctly for me Iā€™m not that concerned about it. Unfortunately thereā€™s also no rooted 7.2 build yet so I canā€™t look at system logs on my SHIELD to figure out why itā€™s printing that out.

Just as a heads up, we reported this to Nvidia and theyā€™re investigating from their side as well.

@timwoj Just wondering how itā€™s going in terms of fixing the issue, as well as what specifically caused the bug. Take all the time you need in fixing it, I just want to know when I can record things again. Thanks!

Thanks for your logs. Is it the dualHD 1590 or 1595? All other users i checked so far are in Europe - which I believe is the WinTV dualHD 1590 european model.

Mine is indeed the WinTV dualHD 1590. I am based in the UK.

I have gone through the list and everyone apart from one is Europe based - so need to clarify the anomaly

The 1590 is the Europe DVB-T model.

Recently updated Nvidia Shield to Shield Experience 7.2 - now Hauppage Win TV dualHD TV Tuner is no longer found - has this functionality been broken?

Plex DVR stopped working. Deleted DVR, tried to re-add it [my tuner is a Hauppage WinTV-dualHD TV Tuner]. Plex no longer scans and finds this, and actually now ONLY gives the specific option to find HDHomeRun tuners with the prompt:

ā€œDonā€™t see your HDHomeRun device? Enter its network address manuallyā€

Unable to alter this.

Personally, I donā€™t expect a respond to this issue - I never have had one before. I hope that in a few monthsā€™ time I discover the Plex has fixed this - please SURPRISE me with a response!
