Can this file help me with Tuning stations from Live channels?

I asked this to hauppaugue, and I got it. But I would say that the result is the same: found a randomly changing number of channelsā¦
Because this is becoming really frustrating, I ask to Plex (so @sa2000 ) to confirm that you are able to replicate the issue and that you are woking on this issue together with nvidia and Hauppaugue to try to solve it.
Itās since november that I can not use the dvb features on shield+plex, and it is not clear who is working on this problem.
At the moment the issue is with the NVIDIA team

The shield live tv app isnāt finding any channels with this tuner in the UK. Iām so fed up with this crap.
In fairness to nVidia and Hauppauge: according to an nVidia forum moderator, live channels (which is part of Android TV platform and as such is a Google piece of software) does not support DVB-T/T2 at this time.
Live channels only supports the ābulk modeā for the tuner but only handles US digital broadcasting standard. When (and I add, if) DVB-T/T2 support will be added by Google to the app, the tuner will need to be in bulk mode to work.

The issue that arose after the 7.2 NVIDIA SHIELD EXPERIENCE update is an nVidia / Hauppauge issue
I wanted to share my bit of success with shield+hauppauge as European customer. As said in this thread shield channels app simply does not support dvb, so that is out of question for customers outside US. However, with plex i managed to get live tv working properly, but with a work around. When setting up live tv, many channels were not available or were otherwise messed up. What i did was to change country settings to different country/provider where i live (Finland to Germany). Very strange, but it worked. It might take some tries to find country/provider with correct channel set, but at least it can work, as in my case.

today Iāve finally managed to set up a PC with PLEX and have moved the Hauppauge tuner from the shield to the PC.
Using exactly the same antenna cabling and same settings while the Shield tunes few channels and randomly the PC tunes 482 chanels (actually more if we consider also the encrypted ones).
It is more and more clear to me that the issue is related either to the Shield drivers or to Plex DVR implementation on Shield.
By the way, Nvidia seems not to care at all about it, no news on the forum anymore.

Iām experiencing exactly the same problems.
Hauppage USB tuner works just fine on my PC, canāt get it to work on my combo Shield/PMS. Iām so happy I spent my money to get a Plex Pass and buy this tuner !
This situation is just ridiculous. PMS is part of she Shield firmware, and it 's not that Nvidia or Plex look like they didnāt care: the truth is both of them really just donāt care.
Iāve discovered today reading forums that situation is lasting for 3 months. Itās just unbelievable how 2 worldwide companies just consider their customers this way.
First of all, cancelling this absolutely useless Plex Pass subscription (LiveTV and DVR is the only reason for a non native English speaker to purchase it).
Then, thinking about a way to get rid of both Nvidia and Plex, thereās nothing to expect from them after 3 months of total nothing.

I just ordered a shield and then I read this forum. I doubled between shield and zidoo x9s and finally took the shield. If I had seen this forum before, I would take without thinking of zidoo.
Somehow it seems to me that nividia does not want to solve this problem. Perhaps it is better to buy a new TV box from a manufacturer that has hearing for its users

I wouldnāt have purchased it if I had of known there was going to be these issues.
Should I bother trying to change it to āBulk modeā. Can anyone host those files at all?

in my case the change to Bulk mode didnāt bring any advantage.
Plex still tunes channels randomly and the native app from google does not support European DVB standards for tuning and thus even if the device is in Bulk mode it doesnāt tune any channel.
Thanks for the input. Personally I just want it to work with the Live Channels app in android. Any chance you could share the bulk mode changer program?
Still problems with PCTV 292e. It is picking up some HD and some SD channels, but not the full range.
Nvidiaās Shield page for the 7.2.3 Upgrade https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/1102308/shield-tv/shield-experience-upgrade-7-2-3/ does state that itās a known issue with the Hauppauge. Doesnāt say whether it will be āfixed in next releaseā like the other issues.
UPDATE Aug 2019 : Nvidia Shield 8.0 Upgrade makes all the difference. Now picking up 154 channels, donāt seem to be missing any. New Plex UI on shield is good too.
