HELP! Plex is running but when opened says "Get Plex Media Server"

Server Version#: DS415PLAY DMS 6.2.4-25556
Player Version#:1.25.0.5282-6000

Installed Plex and its running but when i open it the web app says get plex media server and brings me to a download. I have uninstalled and re-installed several times, using both the download from the site and the package center but doesn’t make a difference. I have followed along several threads and checked the permissions and made a new shared folder for media but to no avail. I’ve run out of things to try.

I did read through another post with a similar issue and tried all the same steps but I am still lost

Same problem. have uninstalled in it a couple of time with no success…

yeah i’ve read through a bunch of those and the thread that had the same issue but haven’t had success with any of the tips. I’ll check those links out and see if they say anything different that might be useful!

I mean it seems like it was solved somewhat by the end of this thread but I’ve read through it several times and I don’t see what the problem was or how exactly they fixed it. Hopefully it will be helpful to you

What is the LAN IP address of the NAS?
What is the LAN IP address of the computer you’re using to access it.

Have you attempted opening an Incognito window and accessing it by LAN IP directly?
