I have been using Plex for quite some time. Most of my shows are correctly showing. I always use the same format. However I have a couple of Star Wars shows for my kid that I label correctly, but the shows show in two different thumbnails and some shows don’t appear at all. all the formats are accurate. what can I check to fix this. I’ve exhausted all of my ideas.

The same doesn’t help much, as long as it’s not the right format
https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200220687-Naming-Series-Season-Based-TV-Shows
- Look up your show on TheTVDB
- Take the title as it is used on TheTVDB. If there is something in parentheses, take that too. If the title contains invalid characters (depends on your file system), like
§ : % *, simply leave them out. - Check the naming and the folder structure of your show. Name the top folder of the show exactly after the title on TheTVDB. No abbreviations. No additional subfolders. No aliases.
- Name the episode files according to the above linked naming guide. Use the same title as for the top folder.
Show's Title - s01e01 - additional info.ext(‘- additional info’ can be left out) - After you corrected the naming and folder structure, perform the Plex Dance with all files for this show.
thanks for the info. I was able to find out how to fix the multiple thumbnails, by using “Fix Incorrect Match”. now I need to figure out why some aren’t showing.
Both issues are related. You shold need to use ‘Fix incorrect match’ as it has the tendency to be necessary again and again as you add new episodes.
Use the proper naming schema from the beginning and for all episodes and shows avoids this hassle.
It doesn’t have to be time consuming to name and organise all your files correctly: Filebot
If you are using mp4 / m4v files, there is an additional thing to check:
Go to Settings - Server - Agents - Shows - TheTVDB
In there, grab the line ‘Local Media Assets’ with your mouse and drag it downwards, so it ends up being at the bottom of the stack of active agents.
