How do I Record 2 Episodes of the same show on the same day.

This is tonights episodes, but the details have it as April 2nd, should be March 30th (same for other Emmerdale airings), this is the Freeview EPG
EDIT:Emmerdale EPG looks good from the 4th, so its just the next few days that are wrong

Coronation Street looks good, last nights airing is showing to record at lunchtime and the 2 episodes tonight also look good

Im also using the freeview epg but mine is showing the correct date

Well the recording emmerdale and coronation street this afternoon didnt work correctly

Emmerdale recorded both episodes but still showing in plex as the same file

and coronation street only recorded 1 episode says 13:15 witch should be part 1 one but plex shows it as part 2

It looks like you have something screwy in your epg like me(still doing a refresh here)

That Coronation Street you recorded this afternoon is dated March 30th, it should be March 29th (only one episode last night), does your library inside plex show as 29th or 30th for that Ep?

Copy out these files plus the contents of the PMS Plugin Logs and zip the copy. Do not zip in situ . Zip the copy

And in Plugin support Databases folder after exiting Plex, look for dB file with epg in title and copy out and zip

That episode hasnt aired yet, its on tonight, do tonights episodes look correct in the guide?

That was what i was seeing for Emmerdale, shows where out by a day (airing wise)
My refresh is only 40%, so will see if fixes it

Is this fix for other shows as well? like I have The Big Bang Theory set to record all episodes, and it missed last nights new episode, it also doesn’t show next weeks new episode… used to work… but it records the other non new episodes just fine on other channels, even on the same day.

So please click on the icon below 1 Episode and shows two items and get me screenshot of the 2 items and also media info xml for each (Get Info / View XML) as outlined here

The EPG Refresh aborted at 55%

That is fine. Don’t need it.

So to summarise
There were 4 airings of Emmerdale before 7pm

12:15:00 (channel: ITV2)
12:45:00 (channel: ITV2)

13:15:00 (channel: ITV2+1)
13:45:00 (channel: ITV2+1)

You had recordings scheduled for both ITV2 and ITV2+1 channels

You did end up with 4 recordings with files named

Emmerdale (1972) - 2018-03-30 12 15 00 - Episode 03-30.ts
Emmerdale (1972) - 2018-03-30 12 45 00 - Episode 03-30.ts

and for ITV2+1 recordings

Emmerdale (1972) - 2018-03-30 12 15 00 - Episode 03-30 (copy 1).ts
Emmerdale (1972) - 2018-03-30 12 45 00 - Episode 03-30 (copy 1).ts

So we are no longer losing recordings

However, the matching against TVDB still has issues. This is statement from our developer

The matching against TVDB is hard because they just mark them as Part 1 and Part 2, and we have no easy way to tell the agent which of those an airing should match to. It’s separate from the issue of it simply not recording at all though. We’ll work on it separately.

The fix has now been released in version 1.12.2.4929 beta released today

This fixes the problem where only one episode was recorded.

There remains an issue with episode identification in the library and that is because of the lack of the detail in the Gracenote data. The airing time is used in this fix to label the episodes differently.

All has recoded last night, no missing episodes, only the other issue of it grouping the episodes together as though they are one

I am still on the test version you provided and have saved my logs from last night, if you need them let me know
