I can connect within and outside my network with Private and Public are Unknown IP

Server Version#: 1.22.3.4392
Player Version#: 4.54.5

How is it possible that I am able to connect within and outside my network with Private and Public IPs being? I am able to connect to my roku and my phone when I shut off wifi.

Attached is a screenshot

Plex Relay could account for this. It’s enabled via a server setting: Settings (server name) -> Network -> Enable Relay

If enabled, and a client is unable to make a direct (remote) connection to a server, it will be relayed through Plex’s (the company) servers.

You can see whether playback is being relayed by looking at the server’s dashboard; if relayed, the connection will be show as “Indirect.”

Regarding why the Remote Access page is showing unknown private and public IP addresses, server debug logs may provide some insight.

Thank you. Checking back later I noticed remote access was disable so I manually specified the public port, which I normally do not have to do.

Hi again,

I am not sure if my latest post (below) is related but how does one fix the “Indirect” connection? I see “indirect” via https://app.plex.tv/ but all is ok via my public and private IPs. I would rather not manually specify the public port. Thank you again!
