I cannot access my server with a browser but i can with the Plex app

I have my cloud home ver. 7.15.1-101
and I cannot access to Plex via web (try to acces preference)

in my LG TV Plex work fine and I can watch content as normal …

Remote access is never enabled because I do not use the server externaly.
Yes. The server is restarted on a regular basis.
Everything BUT https://app.plex.tv/desktop is working. LG TV App, Android App, Plex Windows App, Web App with server IP (non secure).
My LAN goes through Netgear CPL (perhaps is this the problem?)

also. I see this post on the WD forum so I guess its a problem with all WD my cloud home users that looked out and cannot control their Plex server

The WD mycloud home cannot be updated to the latest server version which is causing secure connections to not work and, app.plex.tv requires secure connections. It is still on 1.18.6 . We are working with WD to get it updated to current version but there are lots of changes on both sides so i don’t have an ETA.

This did not work. Still just computers working on external networks. Really getting frustrated.

@jp992751 which server are you having issues with? looks like you have two of them , each on different routers.

Jp992751 doesn’t exist anymore and I’ve deleted it a couple of times and it still comes back for some reason though nothing can be played on it.

Porras is the server we use and no one outside the network can accesses it on the or Apps just on the computers.

@jp992751 I reset your cert again, can you restart it. It seems to be quite a view versions behind as well so you might try updating it.

What type of devices are they using? if using Tv apps they may have to set them to allow insecure connections. Important information about Plex for smart TVs after September 30, 2021

Any updates on this? I haven’t been able to use my WD MyCloud Home since October 1st and its getting ridiculous.

if you have a WD My Cloud Home you need to disable secure connections and/or set clients to allow connecting to an insecure server. https://app.plex.tv only works with secure connections. if need to use the web app use http://LocalIPadress:32400/web when local and http://externalIPadress:port/web when remote

I’m sorry I do not have an ETA when updates to the WD and updates to the server will be available for that device.

Didn’t work to begin with but all of a sudden yesterday all the tvs started working again. No clue what changed.

Hello there, so i am cleaning up my synology and tried accessing the plex app through there and get the “can’t connect to server” error in Safari. I am on a mac but plex is run through my synology. I can access through app.plex.tv. and in the Remote access settings there the public address is listed as : 15828, but in the synology it tries to direct me to http://:32400/web. If i change the 32400 to 15828 then it directs me. I am not sure how to correct the synology to direct to other address or vice versa. Any help would be appreciated. I also removed the server and reinstalled. And it works fine on all the apple tv’s.
