Plex Media Server Logs_2019-12-24_09-28-15.zip (1.9 MB)

Hello all,

I can no longer play video (it’s ok for the musics) from my Android smartphone, it works when it is connected in wifi on the same network as my Synology NAS. I have not touched the network configuration, it is still correct, it works from a remote PC.

The known changes are, the update to 1.18.4.2171 and the installation of a second SIM card on the phone.

If anyone have an idea, please.

Regards,
Maxime

I have try to uninstall Plex on my Synology and install the older version, but the issue is the same.

Regards,
Maxime

I have also try without the second SIM card.

Regards,
Maxime

The problem is the same whether or not I activate remote control (via plex server), or access it directly via my external ip.

Regards,
Maxime

My wish for this new year would be to have an answer from a moderator for my problem, given that there is no other support system... It’s a shame that we don’t have this service when we pay monthly for a subscription.

I can also Sync the video on my smartphone with the mobile network…

CanYouSeeMe.org on port 32400 is in sucess.

Anyone have an idea ?

Regards,
Maxime

The problem is still present despite the last update.

Plex client version on android : 7.27.0.15018
Plex server version on Synology : 1.18.5.2260-056ab4be9-x86_64

Had a quick peek at the logs and it seems the domain name hosting your Plex server has an invalid SSL certificate as such we can’t verify the hostname and refuse to connect.

The certificate's owner does not match hostname home.gaillant.fr

I’m not entirely sure how you’ve override the domain, but it will need a valid SSL certificate in order to function correctly.

Hello, thank you for your answer, the certificat is good when I connect at the DSM of my Synology :

There is maybe an options which I bad set on Plex Network settings, but it’s as this since the first install of Plex, and it worked correctly before.

We had a bug where we weren’t correctly validating the SSL certificate and was letting any connection playback, we have fixed that as such all playable content needs to use a valid SSL certificate. For some reason then the SSL you have cannot be verified by FFmpeg, and provides an invalid host name match.
