Indirect remote access since new ISP

I was with SKY broadband getting something like 78MB download and 7MB upload and everything worked fine in Plex. I have recently switched to Lit Fibre. I checked my speeds on speedtest.net and I’m getting 103MB download and 94MB upload but I’m getting issues.

Every time I go on the remote access page it’s saying “Not Available Outside of Your Network”. When I click Retry it changes to “Fully Accessible Outside of Your Network”. I switch to another Plex page and there’s a red explanation mark on the remote access page. It reverts back to having no access.

I went round my parents and tried to stream something. It was slow to connect but it did stream a movie, when I opened up my server on my phone it was streaming at 2mbps despite everything being set to 10mbps, and my server status said “Indirect” next to it.

I have searched online what this could mean, and used Plex’s support page but I’m getting no where. I’ve tried adding a port number to the router but nothing changed. There’s so many things to try but I can make things worse when I don’t know what I’m doing.

I looked at the reviews of Lit Fibre and someone mentioned to access LAN remotely you have to pay a small monthly fee to get a static address from them. Do you think this might be my issue?

I’m also noticing my Youtube app on my Nvidia shield has become a bit glitchy even though it’s right by the router but that might be nothing to do with Lit Fibre. I have 5 days to decide if I want to cancel so I want to try and get this resolved if anyone can help. Thanks
