Latest App Update - Relay no longer working in Android App, works fine in Browser

Broken for me as well, just making more noise so this hopefully gets some traction.

Broken for me after getting a new pixel 9a and it installed the latest app. Worked fine via cell network, but didn’t work only local network with the plex server.

Started working again when I downgraded my app.

Doesn’t feel good to have just dropped the money for a lifetime membership and then hit this issue.

Same issue here, I am behind a CGNAT so used relay all the time. had to go back to previous version of the app that isn’t broken (and it’s much faster and has TV theme tunes unlike the new app)

Experiencing the same ā€˜source error’, worked all fine until the upgrade on the android app.
Tried the beta, doesnt change anything. Wish I checked the forum first before going around troubleshooting all the possible network issues. Homestreaming and remote from PC works fine still (luckily) just the android application.

Same story as everyone else.

I wonder if this issue is related to this change? They might have broken something for Lifetime Plex Pass users…

I have lifetime pass, Android app, and this just started happening to me as well. This stinks, when it was working fine before!

Unlikely. This only started happening when the new mobile app started coming out last month (which was before april 29th).

Just tested with the latest android app 2025.15.0 and the issue persists.

Plex devs, can someone please acknowledge that this issue is logged as a bug? Thanks so much

My family has 3 Samsung Galaxy devices (S24 Ultra, and 2 S22 Ultras) and none of them are working for me after this update. Cleared cache, uninstalled/reinstalled, logged off/on. Still get a Source Error only on these devices. Why push an update which clearly didn’t work, and continue pushing it to more devices? This is unacceptable.

A little bump for visability. Im hitting this too. I’m going back to an old version of the app, but commenting so I can follow along and update back when the times right.

Have the same problem, Plex Pass user (lifetime) and it broke the second the ā€œnewā€ plex app for android came out. I have Tailscale and CGNATing, been working for year’s, i went back to an old build of the android release… would love to see a response from the devs on this…

Another nudge to keep this at the top of the forums. Plex devs, can we please get acknowledgment that this is documented as a bug?
