Just wondered if anyone else was seeing this issue? :-
Playing back recorded live TV, if I press the skip forward button a single time everything is fine, skips forward 30 seconds as expected.
If I hit the skip forward button several times, say 4 or 6, in tight succession, then intermittently I will be greeted by a spinning circle for anywhere from 1 to 2 minutes, and then the playback resumes.
Typically every four or five times I do this operation I hit this problem, I have also hit it when clicking the skip adverts button.
ps. this is with a wired connection, also no problems with the same content and skipping on FireTV
No one see this issue?
If you use an LG webos 6 TV and all is good with the built in app please let me know

Do you also have this problem when you play “normal” media from the server, so not recorded live TV? If yes, this could be related to LG C9 TV: Conversion failed. The transcoder exited due to an error happening occasionally (maybe the C9 aborts playback and the C1 shows the spinning circle?).
Well, after trying a few films I could reproduce the fault yes, but not as easily reproducible as recorded TV.
I will have at look at that thread, thanks!

Using the BluRay I re-ripped for the other thread, I cannot repeat this at all with the 5.50.1 app on WebOS 6.3.1
I’ll try the latest test file you posted and see what happens.
Just to confirm, you couldn’t re-create the issue with my football test file from my DVR ?
Yes, I cannot reproduce the issue on the new gods testfile, your previous one I could.
Problem is, I am hitting this problem on stuff I skip the most on, recorded TV from HDHomeRun
Conclusion seems to be something the LG App doesn’t like in these files…

I couldn’t reproduce with your file.
The only change I made to the file between original and what works – Run through mkvmerge to rewrite the MKV info block that’s written at EOF.
Bizarre, same TV and firmware.
I’ll grab another sample file if you can check that also.

I have the TV on WiFi , not wired (too slow)
NETGEAR Wireless Access Point (WAX218PA) - WiFi 6 Dual-Band AX3600 Speed
My server continues to be PMS 1.29.2 on a lowly ARMv8 DS418j
I’ve connected via WiFi now, router reports approx 500Mbps connection to the TV.
I am running latest public PMS.
Whether connected WiFi or ethernet should not cause the problem I see, we are only talking about 5Mbps stream!
Still seeing this issue, really annoying
FireTV app is fine, just see this on the LG.
