Hi all,
Having not used Plex for a few weeks i’ve suddenly found an issue. For a good few years I’ve been playing 4k content without problem so something has changed without me knowing.
My server is running on an always on windows 10 PC. Firewall is off and i can play content remotely via the web interface on another laptop as well as a Chromebook.
Whenever I try and play all different types of content I get ‘an unexpected playback problem occurred’. Navigating round the UI also seems a little sluggish than what i remember with things like background art taking a few seconds to download… but this could be just my imagination. I’ve also been able to log out of the app and re-log in without issue.
Tv is on a wired connection which streams 4k Netflix without a problem so I’m pretty confident in the connection to the internet as well as the computer on the LAN.
Can anyone give me some pointers on where to start? I’m at a bit of a loss.
I suspect that they did not follow WebOS update - given that Plex client is from April, and update happened in July - no one tested client on latest LG WebOS for given TV.
I hope that someone from Plex is tracking this forum - otherwise, my Plex Pass is worthless.
