Library missing after latest update on Synology DSM7.1

Server Version#: 1.28.2.6151-914ddd2b3-x86_64_DSM7
Player Version#:

Hi! I discovered that suddenly after updating to DSM 7.1 U4, from 7.0, my PMS doesn’t recognize my local NAS as a media server? All settings relevant disappeared in settings, when I visit on my local IP:32400/web .
What can I do to use Plex again as a local media server?
Thanks!

Here some logs after stopping the service.
Seems like he recognizes my content, however nothing is shown.

Thanks!

I am seeing that you are using either QuickConnect or your own DDNS on the server remotely and PMS doesn’t have that certificate added.

You must first claim the server to your account when local to it (using the LAN IP of the syno) or by claiming it at installation time.

ALSO,

I see the certificate can’t be retrieved.

We can remove the local certificate and make it pull a new one

Before doing that, I’d like to understand whether you’re local or remote.

Thanks for reply!
I’m local working. dewcedcloud.synology.me points with local DNS to my internal NAS IP.

When I access the NAS on IP, it seems to work. I followed your procedure for uninstall & reclaim, and seems to work again now with my domain name too. I use my Synology certificate from Lets Encrypt, to also show Plex as secure on local domain.

Thanks for your help!

@cedw1

The trick, which you’re going to have a heck of a time with – Create a P12 cert file containing -

  1. Key – easy
  2. Cert – easy
  3. CA – Have never located where that is in DSM

With a P12 containing these 3, you can add the P12 to PMS (Settings - Server - Network) and it will be happy.
