Network 10 HD Australia is missing icons.
Currently residing in Adelaide and both channel 1 and 15 are affected.
This is also happening in Adelaide.
I have been searching the forum for a solution to my problem but have yet to find anything useful.
My issue is that sports programs are altering the time at which other programs air, which causes the other programs to not be recorded properly. I am in the United States and Football is currently causing me these headaches.
For example, the Yellowstone (2018) series has recently been airing from the beginning of the series on Sunday nights. I took this as a great opportunity to record the entire series. However, football is on all day on Sunday and consistently runs over the allotted time on the EPG. So, Plex starts recording an episode at, say, 9pm, but the game went until 9:30pm, so I now have 30 minutes of football and the first 30 minutes of the show.
I attempted to ‘fix’ this issue by using a script to auto-refresh the guide data at 20 and 50 minutes past the hour in hopes that the EPG data would be updated as the games ran long. However, this did not fix the issue as the data does NOT seem to be updated in near real-time as games run long.
I realize I could just set a big pre/post pad on the recordings to ensure that I capture the show. But, then I have to go back and edit everything. There has to be a better way to do this.
So, is there any way to get more updated EPG data natively in Plex, or do I have to switch to using a 3rd party provider?

I have referred this to Gracenote - they appear to have a logo for the SD channel - channel 10 but not the HD channel which is on vcn’s 1 and 15 in the lineup
I am sorry but overrunning programs cannot be accommodated for - the only option available to use the pre and post pad feature to end recording x minutes after
It is unlikely that the stations provide gracenote with updated schedules to reflect overrunning events as they would not be able to forecast that happening and in any case, gracenote have to ingest these updates and then make that data available to us - which would get picked up in periodic updates and then these would get picked up by the Plex Media Server periodic (daily) or maual EPG refresh

Can you confirm that Plex uses Gracenote for the Channel Guide in the US?
Gracenote support provided me a process to report guide data problems directly to them from end users. Gracenote support have previously responded and are correcting issues using this process.
Would it make sense to use the direct reporting process and eliminate additional work for the Plex team? OR, Another proposal is that users could use the Gracenote reporting process first and use the Plex process as a fallback if they cannot resolve the issue with Gracenote? If you agree, I can post instructions here.

Thanks for the info. I assumed this was the case. I only asked because I vaguely remember from back in the day when I had cable that the cable company EPG would update in near real-time as events ran long. Was hoping something similar could be implemented.

What the actual problem is: Channel mapping is wrong, EPG missing
Channel 324 is CNBC Europe but currently mapped to CNN International; CNBC is missing from the EPG completly
