Live TV EPG - The update you’ve been waiting for

Is this still an issue?
I can see that the images in the guide reflect the 2022 series
https://metadata-static.plex.tv/d/gracenote/d24a5021d0111ac66c87e7a2517d16c1.jpg

also the metadata is correct for the 2022 series

It is important when recording is that you have recordings into a separate TV Shows Recording library from your normal TV Shows library

There was an issue where we lost the EPG metadata after recordings and this has just been corrected in the latest Plex Media Server beta - 1.29.1

  • (DVR) EPG data might be lost for new recordings

I could only find this web page to show channel updates
List of line-up changes on Saorview (Ireland) – TVCL – TV Channel Lists

But it is showing RTÉ Jnr as 17 and not 12
12 is set to RTÉ2 +1 which appears correct according to the channel update history

Can you point me to a publicly available pdf / web page that states the full lineup

I will submit to gracenote request for updates for

Virgin Media Four
RTÉ Jnr
RTÉ Gold
RTÉ Chill

which appear to me as being 7, 17, 208 and 209

They may have changed some numbers around again, or its possible I was mislead by how my vBox scanned in the channels.

I found this link below within the one you provided. It seems to be accurate. Ireland wouldn’t be the most advanced when it comes to trying to find a good source but this one does look accurate

https://www.tvchannellists.com/w/List_of_channels_on_Saorview_(Ireland)

Is this still an issue?
Appears to be correct in the EPG data

If it is still an issue, please compare what you see in the guide listing on various Plex client apps - eg Web, Desktop app, ios, android - whatever you have available

Thanks

Thanks for feedback

I have referred it to gracenote asking for RTÉ Jnr to be moved to the right channel - suggesting 17
and I asked for addition of

7 Virgin Media Four
208 RTÉ Gold
209 RTÉ Chill

No doubt Gracenote will approach Saorview for confirmation - so it may take a while

Regardless of how long it may take them, really appreciate you looking into it for me. Thanks a million

I am looking into this - can you check if we also need Gracenote to correct the other 20.x channels - They do not appear to correspond to what I am seeing on RabbitEars.Info for Portland, Oregon

Please rescan the tuner channels and then confirm what you are receiving from the tuner for each of 20.1 to 20.7

Thanks

Are these broadcast in ATSC 3.0 ?

Regardless of whether the EPG has these channels, if they are broadcast in ATSC 3.0 then they would not be supported.

We do not currently support ATSC 3.0 and there is a forum thread relating to that

edit: They appear to be ATSC 3.0
NextGen TV Goes Live on Three Pittsburgh Stations - ATSC : NextGen TV

Sorry I have only just managed to get to your post.

Will need to wait now until this is broadcast again - please try to catch it a few days before the airing is due as I am unable to check it retrospectively

ping me when you notice the problem again

I have referred this to Gracenote

448 Pac-12 Arizona HD appears to be available now

Is what the EPG has for 806 wrong?
It is showing as SECAHD
Anyway - I passed your list on apart from channel 448

I have also mentioned the timezone issue with
859 truTV HD
Is it still wrong

I found the Spectrum channel list here but it does not give channel numbers
Do you have a public web page / pdf link for their channel lineup with numbers?
Spectrum Channel Lineup & Channel Guide

Guide data is missing for a channel in my local market.

Country: US
ZIP: 29607
Channel: 21.6
Call Sign: Circle (from RabbitEars.info)
Plex guide: Local Broadcast Listings (86 channels)
RabbitEars link: RabbitEars.Info

Guide data is present for all other WHNS sub-channels. This isn’t urgent at all.

Thanks

I have asked Gracenote for an update on the 20.x KOXI-CD channels

I have also raised a new issue concerning 23.4 which is showing as QVC - same as 23.2 - should be QVC2

20.1 - Telemundo
20.2 - Fox Entertainment
20.3 - Grit
20.4 - ION Mystery HD
20.5 - Laff
20.6 - LX Presents
20.7 - METV

Thanks, I’ll keep an eye open for when it’s next on.

Did you see about the issue I reported with the episode numbers for Rick and Morty on Legend (41)?

The episode on Monday 10th October (JuRicksic Mort) is listed as Season 6, Episode 5 when it should be Episode 6. Which is possibly related to this Monday’s Episode (Final DeSmithation) which was actually Episode 6 not having had an episode number and having the date instead.

Thank You - I have asked Gracenote to add 20.6 and 20.7

Note that for Portland, Oregon there is also another set of 20.x channels (KOXI-CD set) - that have been requested for Gracenote to add - Not sure if both sets will be in the end in the lineup for 97003

How long does this usually take?

I’m not sure if I am going mad here but…

Plex reckons it is currently (7th October 2022) recording Batwoman S3 E10 “Toxic” on Channel 031 - E4 Extra as we speak between 22:00 to 23:00 (BST):

DVR - Batwoman 1

However, if I look at the guide, then Plex reports that “Father Ted” is currently showing on Channel 031 - 4 Extra:

…and that Batwomen S3 E10 isn’t showing until tomorrow (8th October) at 02:05 am:

Guide - Batwoman 2

WTF is Plex doing?

Plex Server: 1.29.1.6260
EPG: Freeview - Local Broadcast Listing
Location: United Kingdom
Post Code: CV23

Update: I’ve now played back the recording and it was indeed two episodes of Father Ted :frowning:

@ TerrillJarvis - I’m quite surprised that is what you’re seeing KOXI-CD broadcasting. Are you for certain that’s the programming you see tuning into these channels. I just checked these channels on my end on 10/7 and i see different as follows.

20.1 - Jewelry TV (Station removed Azteca America after METV 20.7 was added not sure when)
20.2 - NTD (New Tang Dynasty)
20.3 - Buzzr
20.4 - Telemundo
20.5 - Shop LC
20.6 - LX
20.7 - METV

@sa2000 Rabbitears.info hasn’t updated 20.1 on their end (snapshot below)
On the HDHomerun app, 20.1 still lists Azteca America but has mapped the rest accurately
As you may have noticed the Portland, OR OTA market is strange with the programming changes.

Yours is probably right. I went off of what my HD HomeRun Flex 4K was telling me, which may not be correct. I should have taken the time to actually watch each channel to see what is being broadcast.

I first caught the KOXI-CD inaccuracies when i purchased my HDHomerun Connect 4k. I tuned into the “mystery” channels i seen and noticed different programming than what Silicondust had mapped the channels to. I wish i had a snapshot of that but when i discovered Buzzr it was listed as an INFOMERCIAL channel on the side (slicer) guide.

Perhaps someday (with alot of patience) there will be a perfect, top-notch OTA channel lineup.
