Media not available after installing glasfiber

I have installed PLEX on my Nvidia Shield Pro and everything worked okay. I was able to wacht movies on my tv, via the PLEX web and on my android mobile phone. The movies I watch are stored on a WD Mycloud which is connected directly to the Nvidia Shield.

Last week I have had glassfiber installed in my house (previous we had internet/tv via coax) and since then I am not able to access the Plex Media Server anymore. If I try to wacht a movie I get the message that the file is not accesable anymore for the server.

Any idea how to change this so I can watch movies again?

I suppose when switching your new contract, you also got a new router. That router will likely have established a new network, re-assigning IP addresses to the various devices – including your WD MyCloud. The Shield will on the other hand probably still be looking for the WD MyCloud’s old location/name/address.

Best check the Shield configuration and re-link the WD MyCloud.

Yes you are right, I do have a new modem and router and also a new IP-address.

I will see how I can re-link the WD MyCloud to the Nvidia Shield.

I saw the MyCloud’s status was: unavailable so I remounted it. It works now. The only thing now is that the status of the server is: INDIRECT.

And Remote Access says: Not available from outside

‘how to do that’ some where. My technical skills and English isn’t that good.

That will very much depend on your router (and maybe your ISP).
Generally, connections inside your home network should not be “indirect” – that is unless you have multiple “active” components (e.g. Access Points, Routers) inside that network that establish subnets of their own (which you usually don’t need).

@tom80H , I have read the article, but I think I don’t have the technical knowledge to solve this.

At this moment I can use PLEX on my tv and my mobile phone, that is, on my mobile phone I only can use PLEX if I’m connected with my home WIFI. If I disable the WIFI on my mobile phone PLEX doesn’t work.

On my desktop I can’t use PLEX , it says: "app.plex.tv is unable to connect to “_NAME_OF_MY_SERVER” securely

The setting on my Nvidia Shield Pro Plex Media Server is: Allow insecure connections: NEVER
