Metadata wrong/missing on daily episodes

Server Version#:1.18.1.2019

Daily episodes like The Late Show with Stephen Colbert or the Daily Show with Trevor Noah are not displaying Metadata on new episodes anymore. Other Shows seem fine.

Examples of the File names, inclusive of directory structure, exactly as you have them please ?

Directory: series/The Late Show with Stephen Colbert/Season.05

File names are like this:

ā€˜The Late Show with Stephen Colbert - 2019-11-07 - Dr. Phil McGraw, Chris Parnell, Cold War Kids.mkvā€™
ā€˜The Late Show with Stephen Colbert - 2019-11-12 - Liev Schreiber, Daniel Kaluuya, Cold War Kids.mkvā€™

Those have not changed for 2 years and worked fine so far. It started with todayā€™s shows.

Edit: Other shows are impacted as well, like AHS and Short Treks from today. Seems to be a general issue

I will need the DEBUG logs please.

It doesnā€™t make sense to me so hopefully the logs will show whatā€™s happening.

I suspect TVDB side of the data.

While iā€™m looking through things here, please do the following:

  1. Scan files
  2. Empty Trash
  3. Clean Bundles (most important step)
  4. Refresh the metadata for that show.

To help me, do you have the previous 1.18.0 and can you test it?
Helps check to see if a simple/stupid regression.

No effect and no I donā€™t have it.

Iā€™m in staff meeting now and backposting here:

  1. TVDB is having problems. Operations is working with them on that.
  2. Plex.tv was also yo-yoā€™ing for 2 days. This mostly impacted remote access but

I donā€™t think this is a Plex issue. I use FileBot to rename files via theTVdb before saving them to a Plex accessible directory. FileBot has been unable to find matches for S05E41 and S05E42 of the Late Show with Stephen Colbert. I feared something nefarious given Colbertā€™s frequent criticism of you know who.

I have investigated further, confirmation not yet in hand, but known good media on known good PMS versions lose poster art.

i suspect TVDB deploying their API v3 again with equally limited success as their last attempt.

It appears to be the ā€œ100 episode limitā€ issue.

I will relay as soon as I have more to go on.
