Missing Transponder "NetCologne" [Cable] and channel assignment

I have now asked Gracenote to see if they can do that

We have a problem with this.

TV / Radio indicator is not returned in the DVR channel list in all cases. For most we do not have the indicator

The Lineup information that Plex Media Server gets for channels does not have a radio/tv indicator.

I think DVB S/C/T should always have those parameters, or not?

We get the triplet info for USB and PCI DVRs managed by Plex Tuner Service - also old HD Homerun Dual which is managed by Plex Tuner Service - but other DVRs there is no triplet info returned

Furthermore, the triplet information is not available in the Gracenote lineups we receive. It may be possible we can get this in the future but any development work for using that information would only benefit a small subset of the supported DVRs

Hello all

I have been following the posts.

Manual number assignment does not work in the app or on the web. I have two EPGs embedded with the same numbers. Unfortunately I can’t select channels from the second EPG because the numbers from the first EPG are already occupied.

Tested with Windows, Mac, Chrome, Firefox

Is there a fix coming soon?

still not fixed

Hello, I don’t know if I’m running in the same problem or if it is something else because we also have NetCologne in some areas here in Düsseldorf (PLZ 40591) but I’m using an HDHomeRun Dual (HDHR3-EU) and always getting the same 9 encrypted channels after the channel scan.

During the scan I can see at the HDHomeRun Config Gui that Plex is finding a lot of other channels:

But after the scan my channel map always looks like this. And which information is needed to force another scan?

I can’t continue the EPG connection screen and always have to reset the media.provider.resources in the com.plexapp.plugins.library.db to start over again.

You are talking about a fixed .ini file for NetCologne. Is it available anywhere and where I have to put it? Plex Server is running on my brand new DS220+. It’s a fresh installation but I also had the same problem with my old DS216j before.

Is this the same NetCologne problem or has it something to do with my HDHomeRun? The TV app of HDHomeRun found all the channels without any problems.

No, reboot didn’t fixed it. I already found the hint to use KMS Munich FastScan in this thread and this is the only scan that presents me the following selection screen:

There is only one option: NetCologne. As I mentioned before, I also had the same problem with my DS216j. I think the problem has to do with the combination NetCologne in Düsseldorf or with my HDHomeRun Dual in general.

But I really don’t understand why the Plex complete scan is not doing what it says. It founds the same 9 channels.

But even KMS scan founds the same 9 channels. Is there any chance to copy the transponder lists manually to the server?

@sa2000 Finally assign the channels seems to be possible, but automatic match is still not working well…

Well … now that most issues have been addressed when using the hosted Plex Web app though https://app.plex.tv/desktop and latest Plex Media Server release - current being 1.25.6.5577-c8bd13540 beta, i can now look into the auto-matching issues and see if I can come up for suggestions for the development team

I will need the xml response that Plex Media Server gets from the DVR through Plex Tuner Service and also the zip code/lineup name and debug server logs after deleting the DVR and re-creating it after the auto matching. From the logs I will see what requests Plex Media Server makes and then I can give you the requests to make using curl

We auto-match on vcn number - and the outcome is not predictable if there are duplicates - but may be should also fuzzy match channel name when there are duplicates

Ok, yesterday i updated my test-server to 1.25.7.5604 (Win10)
first here are most manual matched channels, before deleting the DVR.
Ch33 is not matched because of the SD/HD problem with Ch133
some other channels are missing in EPG lineup. (not important)

Zip-Codes for Cologne you can find here:

here’s the LOG
auto-matching refers to NetAachen
usually should be NetCologne - but the content is the same.
