I have name some videos as such,

  • My Video.pt1.avi
  • My Video.pt2.avi

and the video appears as “My Video”, which is correct. However, playback experience are bad.

On the web player, the video is played by part, meaning if the total length is 1 hour, then it will play the first part first, showing the playback time as 30 minutes. After finishing the first part, it will go to the second part, starting at minute 0. If the user want to watch the first 30 minutes, then there is no way to go back except to terminate the playback and restart again. It would be great if the timeline actually combines all the parts into one whole chunk.

On the android player, it will only play the first part. There is no way to watch the other parts.

Would be really helpful to actually have a list of which apps are supposed to support it.

I found an old forum post from ~2015 implying support had been added to android app by then.

Is it possible something broke recently?
