For some reason my Music Library is not appearing in Plex Web or for my smart TV’s… This is despite it having the same path as the ones I have done for other Libraries like Films and TV Shows, which do appear fine. The music files do of course exist on my NAS (like the rest of my media).
I have tried deleting the Music Library and re-adding it, but to no avail.
What version of PMS are you using? What name/model NAS do you have?
When you’re at the point of deleting your music library and re-adding it,
we can have you do that again but in a specific order that cleans Plex
of it’s knowledge of your music. The procedure is called The Plex Dance ™
Let’s say you had three libraries that looked like
Then when following the plex dance, you would move everything inside /share/Media/music
into a directory that Plex can’t access, but you would leave the music directory itself.
No, no difference. The files still aren’t appearing in my library. I have followed all the instructions on The Plex Dance ™, including removing all but a couple of files from that area of my NAS and re-adding.
The strange thing is that I added a season of TV shows to TV Shows, and they almost immediately were ‘Plexed’ and appeared as I expected.
We have a Synology expert on the forums. If your Plex server is installed on the DS215J, would you change your OP subject tag to server-synology so that he sees this topic? Thanks.
If the server is on the Mac, tell us more about both devices and how the shares are mounted.
In the meantime, have you put the server into debug mode but unchecked verbose?
