It’s possible your friends server is out of date.
We only support server versions later than 1.41.2
on the new Plex app.
Sorry guys :
First: Sorry for posted Android question in ios thread.
Second: The problem was my Android device name (I have saw in the Android thread): If the Phone’s name contains special chars (like ó,á,ő…etc) than this could be the problem.
So I have renamed my phone and voala it’s working now I can see my friends server.
So thanks again and I wish you the best
Followed all the instructions, still no Libraries listed.
Press-hold on Libraries button at bottom of screen only shows options to go to Plexamp or PlexPhotos.
App 2025.14.0 (1037)
Server 1.41.6.9685
Wait, no way! That fixed it for me as well, thanks!
Switching to Plexamp’s library tab lets you browse your media similar to what you can do in the web app / old apps – e.g. by artist, album, tracks, collections, playlists… and more (labels, moods, styles, genres…).
On Android 14. App auto-updated and now all my libraries are gone. Linux App, Web App and Roku all work. My Plex server is Version 1.41.6.9685. I don’t know what people mean by “Favorites”, but I unchecked those hearts on the libraries and I still can’t browse, view or play any movies. I ran update on my Plex Server, but it said I was already running 1.41.6.9685. I rebooted, and restarted my Android app and I still don’t have access to my libraries.
My wifes iPhone still works, and my Kindle (Android) still works. Likely, these have not updated.
PS
I hate that one app is becoming three apps.
[EDIT]
I uninstalled Android Plex app, and reinstalled it, and now it’s working.
Found it, many thanks,
Gary
Seeing this issue on all of my iOS devices (2 iPhones 2 iPads, none work). Get the “No Libraries Found” screen when I open the app. However, if I open it off my local network on LTE, everything works correctly. As soon as I switch to local wifi, the app throws an error and I no longer have access to my libraries. Curious where this issue currently stands? Any other devices other than mobile seem to be working on local network.
I have tried logging out from the app and removing from “Authorized Devices” on the server side, re-installing the app, toggling the “Local Network Access” permission on my iOS device, clearing favorite libraries, etc. Nothing seems to work. No access locally.
Plex Server Version: 1.41.6.9685
iPhone Model: 15 Pro Max
iOS Version: 18.3.2
Plex iOS App Client Version: 2025.15.0 (1053)
Same problem on my wife’s iPhone. She is a managed user and “no libraries” is visible on her screen. If i login on my iPhone on her managed user, everything works flawlessly.
If i longpress libraries only plexamp and plex photos show up.
Client version on my iPhone which has no problems 2025.15.0 (1053)
IOS 18.3.2
Client version on my wife’s iPhone 2025.15.0 (1053)
IOS 18.4.1
I had the same issue this morning on my iPhone, the app updated automatically to 2025.15.0. I have never favorited a library section and had no options other than to go to the photos app or the plexAmp music app. Plex server is on Version 4.145.1 and remote viewing works. On my local network on my iPhone, libraries would not pop up. I found a movie I owned and that was also available on Plex, I pushed where to watch and my server pops up, if I click my server it takes me to the movie I own, it also shows related movies which I also own. By going into cellular mode I can see my libraries and I can favorite my libraries. When I went back to wifi/ local mode, they appeared. I also removed the favorite and restarted the app on local wifi and now it seems there is no issue finding the server locally. Hope this helps someone.
How about iOS only showing, “HOME, LIVE TV and DISCOVER”? latest app version and server is running 1.41.3.9314. Also I’m a plex pass owner.
When I press libraries it only shows me the new apps available to install. I am not able to see any libraries I created in my plex server. Instead in the local host server I can see them perfectly.
Same here. iOS app displays libraries only on LTE, but when my phone has wifi enabled all libraries are gone. Same goes for the web version via my macbook. Surprisingly the TV works fine (but the TV is connected via wire). Are there any special wifi settings I need to change? It worked before.
Update: I’ve just changed DNS on my router to Google’s and it is working fine now.
We had to delete and reinstall the app to get it finding libraries again on an iPad.
do you have an pi-hole or adguard DNS blocker within your network?
There is still a bug within iOS App for libraries. After favoriting my movie and TV-show library everything works. But if I close the App and re-open it, then my favorits are gone and I have to re-favorit my libraries again. It happens over and over again, any time I close and re-open the App. This is really annoying if the startpage is always empty and have to do this workaround ever again…
This is happening to me as well. The weird thing is it comes and goes - sometimes my libraries will be available for a short period and I can start watching something but will eventually be kicked off and I get the “No Libraries Found” again. I had to watch a movie in 5 segments because of this lol.
iPhone 15 Plus, iOS 18.5.
Client Version 2025.17.0 (1082)
Seems to happen whether I’m on WiFi or LTE and the libraries will become available and unavailable without my changing my connection or anything. This has rendered the mobile app basically unusable for over a month now.
Here we go.
You all should try checking your local LAN for adware blockers like PiHole and whitelisting the used hosts (for the app).
When I disabled DNS blocking or whitelisted the sites (being blocked) for the Plex Photo App, it started to show my libraries for me.
Still the app in total is a piece of crap so far. A major downgrade from the functionality inside the main Plex app.
No landscape view of images/videos.
No seeking inside played videos.
No details shown on the folders or images. (like path on the server etc.)
No option to reload/rescan media libraries.
Everything that worked perfectly on the main (old) app.
So the person conciously deciding to destroy the main Plex App (taking functionality out) and replacing it with this unworthy piece of software should really rethink his job position.
After all the well functioning Android App, at least for me, was a major reason to buy a license for the Plex Server.
Still no official solution to this issue ?
I didnt read all the comments but wanted to make sure and add my experience. When the library does show everything and, I start an episode more often than not it starts, restarts, goes back to the beginning then just errors out. The user experience is just not there anymore.
