Same here. Tried everything. Cannot get access to the server in my local network. Browser and TV work fine though.
Revert back to the last Plex app that doesn’t introduce this horrific disaster of a UI. Never update the app or server. Wait until they completely destroy the old app and then uninstall Plex count your loss and move on to something else.
Short of Plex restoring the old app this is the end of Plex.
Same Issue here I found out my Iphone device name was named something “Iphone 13” so i changed it to “iPhone” logged out logged back in and bam it worked same with Ipad it has some issue with naming with special character or SPACE between things.
I am having the same issue on Android. All over devices work on wifi or on cellular. I will note that I noticed the prob originally was with the server on cellular. I could see the libraries but it said I was not able to connect to them over celluy. My wife phone was able to connect to them just fine. I had an option to unfavorite them which I did to troubleshoot and not they are gone completely.
I also had an issue, but with suggestions from the forum, I was able to get it working. For documentation, here is what I had happen:
Bought a new iPhone 16 to replace an older iPhone (that was working fine with Plex). On the new phone I had the stated issue with no libraries showing and no access to my HDHomeRun in Live TV. But the problem was only when outside my network using Tailscale VPN. If it was local to my LAN, it worked. I have an iPad that has worked all along (including with Tailscale).
I tried logging out and back in several times on the iPhone with no luck. I noticed the Plex server (running on a Synology NAS) was slighty out of date (1 minor release), so I updated it and then restarted the NAS. Still no luck on the iPhone. I then logged out of the iPhone, force closed Plex app. Re-opened and logged in and got an error message (I think it said something has gone wrong). Force closed Plex again, and when I reopened it, everything was there and working.
My guess is the server upgrade/NAS reboot is what actually fixed it.
Hi bix - I am facing this issue on Android app version 2025.20.0.
I had never set any of my libraries as favorites. Only four of my libraries show up on Android and they were tagged as favorites. I removed them as favorites, but I still only see those four on my Android mobile. On the Web, I see all of my libraries.
How can I fix this?
I think I just figured it out. The missing libraries are music and photos. I see I now need PlexAmp for music and Plex Photos for Photos. I am not sure I like this “feature”, but at least I can can access my content.
LOL! I should have waited for Plex to respond : P
Having same issue as well. Only difference with my issue is I have two accounts. My main one that has all the movies and a second one for the kids that can only access kid movies. I am able to access the one with my kids but not my main one. That one says no libraries found.
Still no exact solution from the Plex side?! It’s been months now!
Looks like it’s been 2 months and a couple mobile app updates as well as a few server side updates. I am still getting “No Libraries Found” when on my local network using mobile devices. All non-mobile devices still work fine (Apple TV, Samsung TV, etc). Any news on this?
Current Mobile App Version: 2025.21.0
Current Server Version: 1.41.9.9961
Nothing here worked for me. I clicked on my profile Icon (upper right), went to Settings, then Advanced and i selected clear cache.
This worked instantly for me. Weird. Good luck, hope that helps some people.
Same here.
Plex Android app doesn’t show personal media library on my Plex Media Server. This problem started a few weeks/months ago and has continued since. Previously, everything worked perfectly on my mobile device.
Plex Media Server version Version 1.41.9.9961 (inc. Plex Lifetime Pass)
Android 15 with App Version 2025.21.0 (966828449)
Same for me. I can see my server on iOS app if I’m in Wifi/local but if I swap to MobileData/4g I can’t see the server/libraries anymore. But if I open the server link on browser/safari it works fine, just the app.
This has only started happening in the last couple of months I believe.
Please fix this.
edit: I tried updating the server to latest version ( Version 1.41.9.9961) same issue, uninstalled the app and downloaded again (latest version), same issue.
Okay maybe this will help someone.
this fixed for me: I updated to the latest version of Plex Server, and now there’s an option to choose Client Network to “IPv6 only”. I did that and restarted the server. Now it’s working on my iOS client on mobile data as it should.
Follow-up: I found the cause – but the new system is very frustrating
After investigating the issue with my personal media library not showing in the Plex app, I finally figured out what’s going on – and I want to explain it for others facing the same confusion.
What happened:
I had a single photo library that included both photos and videos from family vacations, events, etc. For example:
/Media/Vacation/2024 August
In that folder, I have both photos and videos side by side – and for years, Plex handled this perfectly. I could open the Plex app, go into the folder, and view everything together – photos and videos in one place.
Now, that photo library no longer appears in the regular Plex app. I had to create a new “Personal Videos” library, which finally showed up – but it only displays videos, not photos. To view my photos, I have to open the separate Plex Photos app.
Why this is frustrating:
This setup breaks one of the main reasons I bought Plex Pass – to have one app, one library, and a seamless experience. I do not want to split my content into two libraries (one for photos, one for videos), just to view a single vacation memory.
Imagine wanting to revisit August 2024 vacation memories – I now have to switch between two apps or two libraries to see the full experience. That’s inconvenient and takes away from the simple, unified experience Plex used to offer.
A wish for the future:
I really hope Plex will consider bringing back the option to use one single library for both photos and videos, just like before.
I believe many users would appreciate having everything in one place, without needing to separate personal content into multiple libraries or apps.
They are bringing these libraries back to the main app but they have only deigned to inform one platform of this on one thread. You might think that Plex would want to make a formal announcement across all platforms of this rather significant change which has caused so much stress and frustration for everyone?
I finally fixed my local network iOS app library access issue that started when the “big update” happened earlier this year. I host my plex server in docker. I had used a local network name in my ADVERTISE_IP env var
ADVERTISE_IP=http://server.myhousedomain:32400/
That had been working for years. The new app perhaps uses different name resolution settings, maybe avoiding my local network DNS. Changing to an IP address fixed it for me.
ADVERTISE_IP=http://192.168.1.10:32400/
I have PlexPass Lifetime and also cannot see my Libraries on the Android App. So frustrating.

I posted a similar problem just now. On the latest plex server update I do not see my library in recommended section. If I go to library it shows. Takes forever to start a stream and when the stream starts it does not show it is being played on the server. Have 2 google tvs and one fire stick doing this.
The apple tvs and iphone I have show them and they play fine and show on the server the movie is playing.
