New Plex Guide Very Poor in UK

I understand this was a matching issue which has been resolved but the fix happened after the event

This has been resolved. I verified all airings in the EPG and they appear ok now

Thanks for letting me know.

EDIT: Removed rest of text, guide refresh fixed it. All good now!

Reported this issue before for another episode last year. You found the issue that caused the same episode to be scheduled for 005, 105 then 044. :slightly_smiling_face:

Schooled Series 2 premieres on E4 in the UK on Wednesday (19th February) but unfortunately my series record is failing to pick it up:

Schooled_Series_Record

@sa2000 Could this be a problem with the series information in the guide or do you think I have out of date series record info from when I was using the National Lineup?

I’ve set up a new recording but some of the data in the EPG does look right either as the artwork isn’t coming through:

I’m not sure if both are related or just coincidental but thought you should know.

Could be - if the ID’s changed but E4 does not have regional channels so would not expect the channel ID to have changed, There is only one channel 13 and no suffixed channel numbers.
IDs may have changed after last maintenance some months back

The airing is correctly showing as Season 2 Episode 1 and also has the Premiere flag set. The original air date appears to be from September 2019 - I presume that was the first airing outside the uk.

So it ought to be ok. If there is an old ID - delete the scheduled recording and recreate. Best first to do a full EPG refresh

which bits ? the art work we have is an image at the show level which is what is shown. In Plex Web I see the following when clicking on the show

Sorry badly worded post on my part - you should have seen my typing on the #curl IRC channel yesterday - absolutely terrible, I’m not sure I made sense to anyone but myself (and even then that was intermittent!).

Anyway, specifically it was the artwork. Yes, artwork is included
but it doesn’t seem right to me as:

  1. I was expecting either: The main Schooled artwork that I see in my TV library or specific artwork for Season 2.
  2. It is the same as “Man with a Plan” - as you’ll note from the “RELATED SHOWS” part of your screenshot.

I was then wondering if the series information was wrong altogether and if that was why my series record of Series 1 hasn’t picked up the new Series 2.

Even now - I’m not sure I’m making sense. Maybe it’s time for a walk down to the pub!

It should have happened already sometime back - I have escalated this a few days after the channels were added

Another example of an annoyance in the Starting Soon, I know this is supposed to only look at airings after 7pm, but the details need to relate to the channel shown in the Starting Soon page

Radio4 extra is losing shows again (including right now) - and then disappears completely on Sunday. Screen shots attached. Freeview STV Central OTA Broadcast

I just checked today’s data. The guide data for Radio 4 Extra does currently have a few gaps which show up as an “Unknown Airing” - Most are 30 minute or 60 minute gaps. We are currently re-engineering how data is ingested at our to avoid gaps.

I am chasing this frequently. The last I have is that our provider has just picked up data for week beginning 22 Feb 2020 and it would start to show up soon

I have relayed the statement that I received from our provider. I do not know when their weeks start and if it is a Saturday or a Monday

I have added this example to what has already been referred to our Plex Web app team. The issue appears to arise due to the +1 channels

It seems that artwork is still being shared between between “Schooled” and “Man with a Plan”:

Anyone else getting their guide populated with the old ‘[channel name] Programming’ entries?

Here’s an extract of my guide for Sunday after a manual refresh:

It’s not all channels, but it’s quite a few of them, including ITV1-4.

Yes, I’m seeing that as well ( Freeview STV Central OTA Broadcast) - it seems to start about 4:45am on Saturday, with STV, then seems to spread to other channels.

Screenshot attached - on STV, nightscreen should go on until 6am, when the first programme should begin.

By Sunday, there are about 9 channels affected (not including the ‘+1’ types).

These are stock photos that always appear if there is no suitable poster found. Get Some In! on your screenshot also has it, just a different one (different genre?).

There are a lot of programs on CBS Drama on Freeview 71 which do not match those shown on the channel’s own guide, either as the wrong season/episode or just being a completely different show.
Examples from tomorrow:

  • CBS says 1100 and 1200 are episodes of Scorpion, while Plex says they’re episodes of JAG (the channel was showing two episodes of JAG in this slot until a couple of weeks ago, when it changed to Scorpion, and it’s been wrong in Plex the whole time.
  • 1300 and 1400: CBS says Gunsmoke, S13E16 and E17, while Plex says S19E16 and E17.
  • 1500-1600: CBS says two episodes of Airline, Plex says one episode of Perry Mason
*1600: CBS says Hoarders, S01E04, Plex says S02E10
