Ahh - That makes sense. Has something changed recently in the source for artwork?
Alien Convergence, for example, had artwork in previous showings now it doesn’t:
I am also seeing movies in the guide that have artwork for the Extended Edition, Directors Cut and even BlueRay + DVD + Digital Download. Rogue One, above for example, shows the latter where as previous showings it had non-media specific artwork.
Small issue on show naming
Can the naming of Fox be Changed to Sky (Fox is US, Sky is UK), this seems to be wrong daily at 9pm
Freeview North East - Bilsdale (but probably all UK listings)
According to the TV guide at the BBC’s website and the series information over at TheTVDB.com this should be S01 E43 - The Spy Who Came in with a Cold.
Today’s episode was S01 E42 - The Confidence Trick but it was listed as S01 E41 - The Confidence Trick and recorded as:
Danger Mouse (1985) - S01E41 - The Confidence Trick.ts
It seems that the weekday episodes of Series 2 are not effected by the episode number being off by one, however, both Series 1 and Series 2 are recording with 1985 in their filenames, which is incorrect, as these are the 2015+ reboot series rather than the original series (that I grew up watching).
Doctor Who S12 E10 on BBC1 Sunday 01/03/2020 didn’t record for me because I’d set it to New episodes only and the episode was not marked as “New” even though it was.
I can see that it ought to be 2015 and I have referred this to our provider - but the data I looked into show the year set to 1981 and not 1985. I have scheduled a test recording for tomorrow and will see the result - I cannot see where 1985 is coming from. Might need logs after it gets created wrong - also may need copy of the EPG database tv.plex.providers.epg.cloud-xxxxxxxxxxx.db and shm and wal
This has been referred to our provider. My understanding is the data they receive from the BBC does not have the “New” indicator info and it is being done semi manual
Sorry to keep on about this, but if I had decided to stick with ANY of my old methods, then they would have recorded the programme without any fuss - BT YouView box or my Xtrend running OpenVix. Why oh why can you not get the data from the actual OTA info like every other DVR I just cannot understand.
And it would have been much simpler to start watching a programme mid recording with either of those two.
Sorry, but this DVR service is VERY far from being user friendly and functional. It is just NOT WORKING!
It’s madness these things are being done manually which just equals mistakes. So basically in the UK a collection of our most watched channels is reliant on recording correctly on whether someone is having a bad day or not. Plex can never be reliable when there is so much manual intervention involved in cobbling together the EPG data.
I’ve ditched Plex for any DVR functions and so Doctor Who recorded perfectly, but I paid a life-time membership to have DVR functionality.
issue with This Country, BBC One 22:35 yesterday; it recorded episode 3 but labelled it as episode 5 even though the title in the file name correctly says “Episode 3”:
