We have a number of fixes that are held back waiting completion of some redesign of the ingestion process and database structures - when that work is completed - this will then be looked into. We were expecting a fix in the EPG data from our provider but that was not possible - so we will be looking into addressing it
For some reason Killing Eve isnât marked as New on the Freeview guide either, although for PVRs using the over-the-air guide it doesnât matter. The fact it isnât mark as âNewâ on the Freeview guide data maybe why it isnât getting marked as new in Plex.
Thank you for testing there - I didnât think it would be as simple as above or below 85 minutes as Iâve been able add longer myself, both prior to this incident as well as over the last week.
As a developer myself I suspect itâs going to be something quite complex - possibly to do with the +1 channels and what tuners are available.
As you can see from the screenshots in my original post I was recording two other channels at the time - however as I have a HD HomeRun Connect Quatro that shouldnât be a problem!
I checked what log files were available after your reply last week but they were long gone for the day it happened. If it happens again I will save the logs for you.
The showing on Monday the 18th May was also wrong but I didnât touch the computer on Friday or over the weekend to check so Plex recorded it.
It also looks like the upcoming showing next Monday (25th May at 03:55) is also wrong:
Versus the FreeView Guide:
⊠and the guide over at Sony Movies also has it correct so Iâm not sure why Plex keeps getting this movie so wrong!

I have flagged it again to our provider. I am just wondering if the early release in the USA (BBC America channel) is having an impact on this
I see that new features keep on being rolled out despite existing ones (like TV guide, advert removal, etc) still not being fixed - https://www.plex.tv/blog/go-ahead-and-skip-that-intro/
I also find it disappointing that any comments on blog posts pointing out the need to fix existing issues are censored and not approved.
The repeats of Friday Night Dinner on 4 Music (Channel 029) of Seasons 2 and 3 should not be tagged as âNewâ as the premier of Season 6 has recently finished airingâŠ

I think the US is an episode ahead of the UK. Not sure.

Neighbours dates all messed up again - had been correct last week but then todayâs episode was listed as 18th May. Any word on when the provider will fix this given its been an issue for a few months now?
It was not fixed. I had to set to record âAllâ instead of âNewâ.
We have a fix for this now - in beta release 1.19.4 of Plex Media Server
See release note
- (DVR) Unable to record a new release of a movie if an older release is in the library. (#11504)
Cheers @sa2000 - I saw that in the release notes and wondered whether it was my bug ![]()
Whilst Iâm in the office today (key worker unfortunately so I have to be in 30% of the time) I remotely installed it about 30 minutes ago whilst waiting for a build.
Does the fix work the other way round, where a newer movie already exists in the library and the older version wonât record?
For example:
The original Robocop movie aired last week and whilst I scheduled it to record it also failed presumably because of this bug.
If the year is present we are now including the year in the check, so if the years are different between the EPG data and the library data then we will record.
So Neighbours has recorded today but with 19/5/20 date on it. Although it is showing as new in the Guide and has been recorded, it is in my library as âplayedâ, presumably as the version that went out last week (when the dates matched the UK broadcast date) has already been watched. This is really confusing. Surely anything newly recorded should be marked as unplayed? @sa2000 when is the provider going to correct the broadcast dates to the UK airings, they managed it for a couple of weeksâŠ
Looks like it was a late update that did not make it to the EPG data in time. I can see the date set to 1 Jan 2020 after an EPG refresh yesterday at about 9 am. Still wrong.
Looking at todayâs EPG after a refresh I ran this morning, I can see they are showing as 26th May.
Please do a manual EPG refresh - it is possible the overnight automatic refresh did not complete ok or completed before the new data from our provider was available - which for last night would have been after 04:30 am.
