New Plex Guide Very Poor in UK

Looking forward to TBA… sounds like a good film.

Is there any update on what is actually happening development wise, or are we just hoping the guide provider is at some point going to get it right… I’m not holding my breath.

Our provider are having issues with their feed from the Channel 5 network and there is currently a lot of manual work. I will ask for an update.

Checking EPG data today - the earliest TBA is at the end of the schedule - on 23 May for channel 5
Similarly for 21 - Five US
and 31 - Paramount

For 30 - 5Star - it is 21 May

54 - 5 Select appears to earlier - 16th May - but it is a 5am one - which would be part of a Teleshopping block - so no real impact

Do you know might have caused the 85 minute quirk and why anything above that changed the schedule to move to the second half of the + 1 showing?

The airing for the 17th May is sequenced correctly as S3 E5

I just tested adding 90 minutes and it is working

I am afraid this is awaiting some development work at our end. We are currently only using the series/show synopsis text for channels where the episode text is restricted to that channel only.

There are also complications because of regional channels and this is awaiting development work by our provider as well.

There are two separate things here.

The main issue is that this was linked to the American series “The Village” and not the UK Welsh one, This has been referred to our provider as per my reply here

When that is fixed - it should then pick the UK series synopsis text and if there is episode text that is not restricted to ITV1 then that would get picked up. Otherwise - it would be pending the scheduling and completion of our future development work for this as well as our provider handling regional channels data

@sa2000 - any update on this please? Is there someone else I should be contacting?

It is disappointing to see that the epg is still substandard. I also have to manually add extra time to films, struggle with an Android app that cannot properly schedule recordings oh yeah and tolerate a Plex server which has a broken commercial skipping feature!
