It is possible there was a late update to the EPG. When you spot a discrepancy please do a manual EPG refresh to pick up the latest data. The overnight automatic update may be a day behind picking up fresh data
Although, after doing a little digging, I am going to hazard a guess the problem is the recording from last week is labelled ‘episode 9’ in my recordings library instead of 8. I haven’t renamed it, so either the epg data last week was wrong or some lookup afterwards has gone wonky?
Thanks for reporting this. It is too late now for me to flag it to our provider and there will be no benefit in highlighting past errors as we are switching to a new provider.
Will see if there are any for next 2 weeks to be checked. Nothing in schedule at the moment - i can check next week
Nov 17, 2020 13:26:55.085 [10916] DEBUG - Subscription: We found a match in the library for 'The Great British Bake Off - E9 - The Great British Bake Off'
As you suspect there must have been an error in the sequencing before
I have flagged these errors to our provider. The channels that were updated were marked as iptv rather than ota leading to the complete loss of these channels after our ingestion
I’m not sure if the issues I’m seeing in Live TV & DVR → BROWSE are client, server or guide data related so I thought best to ask here first - given this is my favourite thread
I only really use this tab to see what upcoming movies are showing so it is always set to All Movies By Airing but I see the following issues:
Movies that finished hours ago still showing up - “Oh Rosalinda” on Talking Pictures TV (Channel 081) was on from 14:30 to 16:35, whilst “Bitter Victory” on Film 4 (Channel 14) aired at 15:00 until 17:05 and “The Christmas Confession” on Channel 5 and 5 HD (Channels 5 and 105 respectively) was showing at 14:15 until 16:00. Could this be a guide issue with end times not being present or somthing?
Movies that finished days ago still showing up - “Super Eruption” aired on Monday at 19:10 for 1h 50m. Clicking the movie doesn’t show what channel it was on! “Waterloo” on the other hand does list the channel as Sony Movies Action (Channel 41) and was showing Monday at 21:00 for 2h 40m. I listed this issue separate to the above as these two movies also aired today at 15:00 on Sony Movies (Channel 33) and 16:35 on Sony Movies Action (Channel 41) respectively so it could be a client or server issue caching old data.
Items showing out of order - The forth movie in the screenshot is “Passport to China” which isn’t showing until Friday at 09:20 and the sixth movie is “Heat Wave” which airs Tomorrow (the 19th) at 11:00 on Horror (Channel 068). I’m guessing this is a sort issue in Plex for Windows and Plex Web!
Note: The screenshot was taken tonight (the 18th) at 19:10 so all times show are relative to that
It’s too late to do anything about, as I’m 22% through recording the show, but tonight’s airing of “Would I Lie to You?” on Dave (Channel 019) at 19:40 is not sequenced correctly.
It is listed as episode 13/1/16 rather than S9 E8 - as per the Dave and Freeview TV guides.
The showing at 20:20 is correctly listed as S9 E7 (Yes, Dave decided to show the latter episode first so it’s not a typo on my part )
Thank you. I can see that we are including already aired movies. I will refer this to our Plex Media Server team. I have not looked into the sort order yet
The guide data for Sony Movies (33) is horribly wrong. I have spent several days wondering why I seem to be recording Christmas movies instead of disaster movies, and have finally narrowed it down to the guide data being incorrect.
Example - today from 1pm to 2:50pm - it should have recorded a film called “End of the World”. But it’s actually a Christmas film. Hitting the TVGuide.co.uk website - I can see that actually at 1pm they were airing “The Case for Christmas (2011)” which is indeed what has recorded. Following that what actually aired was “Garage Sale Mystery 3” and not what was scheduled in the guide - “Wildfire 7: The Inferno”.
At first, I wondered if actually it was just that the channel had morphed in to Sony Movies Christmas, but no - the guide correctly states that at 4:45pm the channel is airing “Young Guns 2”, and indeed that is what is actually airing now.
So the guide isn’t completely wrong, but it is mostly wrong. It’s worth knowing however, that the official Sony Movies website https://sonymovies.co.uk/schedule/movies also claimed to be showing End of the World and Wildfire 7 today too, but there is no excuse for shoddy data - clearly someone out there has the correct information, because other websites are showing the correct information.
