No metadata updates

Did all that no luck… what are the names of the agents in the cache since i can’t find anything related

Just clear out the folder.

After the Plex Dance, after i do a “Update Libraries” both movies are added with no metadata
If i manually select each movie and change the agent to “The Movie Database” all the metadata is downloaded but no poster or fanart, i have to manually add it for each movie, so any ideas why?

No, sorry I have no idea. From the contents of your logs it appears to work as intended until there is a sudden crash.
If you have crash reporting activated on your server, the crash is sent to plex.tv for inspection by the developers.
I have no further information when they may find a solution.

If you find earlier installation files under
D:\Users\R0M\Plex Media Server\Updates
then you could try to downgrade to an earlier version.

Looks like nothing works, so i decided to scrap my whole library and restart all over from recreating it, since it’s definitely corrupted database, and so far, the art has been regenerated, will let you know when the whole library is complete then you can close this thread since the problem seem to have resolved…

Well only 3 movies worked, the rest have no posters nothing, i am thinking the problem is global since i am not the only one with the problem…

Same problem, any idea?

@oyehia
Well, I can’t speak for everyone but my issue turned out to be a certificate issue. I fix it by downloading/exporting plex.tv/thetvdb.com/themoviedb.org certificates then installing them in Windows (right click them and select Install Certificate)
Then update your library. I didn’t even need to do the PlexDance. It was like magic.

Not sure i follow, right click where? i went to plex.tv and there is no place to right click…

First click the padlock at the top left. I use firefox. It may be different on others.

From there, click view certificate, then goto the detail TAB, then click export.
Now right-click the newly downloaded file and select install.

I’m sure there is a far more easier way but I don’t know it. So, this is what I did and it worked.
I did it for all 3 sites I listed above.

Ouf ok, i tried that i installed the certificate and some of the movies got updated but the rest just keeps spinning endlessly…

same problem, hopefully someone will see all the complaints from users…

You may need to do the PlexDance
and be sure themoviedb is one of the certificates because it’s movies you are trying to update. plex.tv also because the PlexMovie agent may need this

hmm… it looks like the problem is more severe, i blame Microsoft, if i go using IE to http://themoviedb.org i get
There was a temporary DNS error. Try refreshing the page.
Error Code: INET_E_RESOURCE_NOT_FOUND

But if i just use chrome, i have no problem, maybe that explain why some movies work while others don’t

But if you do it again, it will work but most images are not loaded, i wonder if the others using windows have the same issue

That looks like a M$ Edge error. I have no faith in Edge.
I just tried my IE (v8.0) and it loaded SLOW as crap, I mean, SLOWWWW.

Ok i loaded the server on chrome, same issue, movie keeps spinning forever…

Honestly, you may need to do the PlexDance

ok i managed to get a lot working, if i just click on the title, it will load manually the data and stops spinning, but i have over 1000 movies, not fun loading each one manually :frowning:

Same issue. Mac. It’s been like this for about a month now. Nothing newly added works, no metadata etc.

Ha, I get that alot on my Roku. I have to drill into the movie info screen then the poster is shown.
I have had this once or twice on my computer via PlexWeb. I usually exit all firefox windows, update libraries, and open plex back up by double clicking the plex icon in the taskbar.

Nope no cigars, it just keeps on spinning however some movies when you click on them they load the data and the others nothing, i still cannot figure out the differences, but i got almost 100 movies out of 1000 loaded manually…

if i load movies manually starting with the letter J and after, everything load without problems, i am in letter M now and everything is loading manually… before the letter J some movies load and some don’t…

eg: “Lion” will load the metada manually if you click on it, but “A Little Chaos” won’t load any metadata
