Player Version#: 4.43.1
I have changed my Plex account password today. After the change, I logged back in to the server and all the clients (Appel TV, MAC app, Plex Dash, Plexamp, …). But I cannot get the Plex app on my iPhone to work. It’s saying my server is offline.
Also when I try to connect through https://app.plex.tv, I see “No content available”.
The “Remote Access” tab on the Plex server is saying: “Fully accessible outside your network”
Within my network everything is working flawless.
Fixed the problem by signing out on the server.
Stopping the server.
Renaming Preferences.xml to Preferences.xml.bak
Started the server.
Reconfigured Plex Server.
I did a test on a secondary server, it seems to work only it is as if it were a new server and therefore I have to reconfigure the libraries of all my users … it’s not the best.
Thanks @capino, that did work for me. Had to reconfigure server settings, remove the previous server in authorized devices and re-pin libraries for all clients but all is well now.
Clearly there is a bug here in either Plex Server or their backend that the Plex dev team need to resolve, but at least we have a temporary “nuclear” fix.
Could it be an ID machine identifier problem located in the Preference.xml file? Is there a way to change it without losing all the statistics (even the content already viewed and not of my friends) and settings?
I had this same issue today. In my home network I have a few different subnets. I had to log into my Plex server directly (:32400/web/inbox.html) from a device on its same subnet and claim the server by following Plex’s prompts to sign. From my laptop wirelessly I kept getting redirected to app.plex.tv to sign in.
