Hi there! After losing my phone and my authenticator app that wasn’t properly backed up, I tried to disable the 2FA enabled on my account to enable it with my new phone. But when I click “Verify another way” and “Email Temporary Code”, it says “An email containing the recovery code has been sent.” But I never end up getting an email. I tried to resend it right away and it says “A temporary recovery code has already been sent recently. Please try again later.”
I looked up on the forum if there was an obvious fix for it, and a couple of people said that they eventually got an email after a few hours/more tries . I’ve been trying to get a temporary code for about a week now with no luck. I’ve checked my spam folder too, and tried disabling from another device that was already logged in. Any idea what’s going on? The last email I received from Plex was back in January and I have a hotmail address if that matters. I’ve added every Plex address I have to my safe sender list as well. Thanks for the help in advance!
The problem is exacerbated by your using a Microsoft email account.
I think you can only write to “Plex Pass Billing” support: Contact | Plex
