[NVIDIA SHIELD] Installed 1.18.1.2019 and now my server won't start [RESOLVED]

Sarcasm noted, but from what I can see, 1.18.1.2019 never appeared in the beta channel, last beta pushed was 1.18.2.2015, which never got as far as being available for my Shield (Play Store lag, or not dropped?) although I do have it on my backup macOS PMS server.

Maybe someone had a rush of blood … :slight_smile:

Yea, I never received it either on my shield… and checked to make sure I was in the beta channel.

I also uninstalled update and that jacked my database… guess I will be running through my backup process.

Again, just to state, we are actively working on this and hope to have a fix shortly (if our suspicions are correct)

sigh Just came here to say that I am also experiencing the same thing. Not going to touch a thing and spend hours manually putting in metadata. Luckily I have a backup server.

I’ve confirmed a fix locally. Just getting a colleague to take it for a quick spin.

Thank you; hope it hits the Google Play Store soon. Just checked and it hasn’t; that is the only way I have ever installed to my Nvidia Shield.

Thanks for the update, but sadly it doesn’t seem to work for me. Just updated, but the plex server still doesn’t start. Restarted the shield to be sure but sadly it didn’t help

Google can take a little while to roll releases out, but I’d expect it within the hour.

Can you confirm which version? You should be able to check in system app settings.

Just updated mine on the Nvidia Shield via Google Play store and all is running fine again now.
No need to reload my library, everything is as it was before.

Can confirm that it is working again. Thank you. The option for moving the server data was missing, but came back after a restart.

Hey, you seem to be the exception here.

It would be useful to get a copy of ‘adb logcat’ from your device in a PM. Do you know how to get that?

Of course we do.

A (im)perfect symphony of edge cases lead to this. We have made notes of these, and learned a few lessons along the way.

Sorry for the pain this caused, but hopefully you saw us being proactive about resolving it :wink:
