Any update on the APK (Early this week)?

Can we please get a status on the cut build for the Shield and do we have an update on the APK file?
There was a rather large number of people who offered to test - so I sent the apk to a subset.
We are trending toward a release next week. Hoping to ship with 1.15.6

So we’re going on 3 months without an update? Could you come with a closer estimate on a new release? Especially since it’s been a week since you wrote “hopefully next week”

Isn’t today still in that “next week”?
Also, they are trying to target ver. 1.16, which has not been released on any platform yet.
While I can understand complaining when they tell us nothing, I totally don’t understand why anyone would want to keep asking the same question when we already got an answer recently.
Do you really want the devs to stop working on the update to answer these kind of questions?
Don’t get me wrong, I’m also very annoyed for the lack of fixes on long standing issues with PMS and the Plex Player on the ShieldTV, but let’s all try to not get in the way of the things we all want.

Slight correction, 1.15.6 was actually mentioned by @StSimm1 in his post above, which one suspects may not be that far away.

the issue here is that we waited for months for a fix, a communication was long overdue and after that communication took place again silence. By the way, the “next week” is over now and still nothing, no acknowledgement, no “we missed the release but we’ll deliver” nothing. So under these circumstances, if I get the developers to stop their job for 1 hour in order to formulate a simple statement on their progress I’d be really happy and wouldn’t worry for that lost hour. Plus I don’t believe that an simple statement would stop their work, it is part of their work to report progress during a daily/weekly stand up call, I just want this progress report on this specific task

Was super excited when I saw that there is an update available, but it was just a small update to 1.14.1.5495. It’s something, I guess 
Does anyone know what the change log is for that release? I don’t see it in the announcements list… Plex Media Server

Another quick update:
- 1.14.1 had a minor update, but there’s nothing to get too excited about there (as you saw!)
- 1.15.6 had a packaging issue on linux platforms. We have since resolve this, I’m hoping we can release before the end of the week (assuming everything is validated).
One thing to note (more details to follow) is that there will be no premium music support on SHIELD for a short while. We are working on a wholesale improvement across all of our platforms, so things will fall back smoothly (for now) and transition smoothly (once the rework is in place).

We know, there can always be a delay cause of unexpected problems. Such informations, like you give us, help us to understand why we have to wait
